I was not a member of this site until recently so thought would add some info 4 years on I found a stickered copy of Chuck's next record dated 1975 so I am guessing same year or slightly earlier which also implies that this was release was a couple of years before the Four Voices which I believe was 1977 Did we ever know who Chuck was ? I know he partnered Timmy Shaw through Johnnie Mae Matthews on Big Hit

The Buddy Connor/Conner was released twice Orange 1003 (same track both sides B dose Instrumental) and Red 1004 (Mind Of Your Own B Side) I have seen them as 1970 and 1971 respectively There's a good thread here but no dates (and takes us into the Nightmare of California Gold label too)(when I say Nightmare I mean great stuff as this thread just keeps giving and giving info)

That was my theory earlier or maybe Joey's wife (Latrail Jefferson) said the labels were a bit plain and changed them (my wife does it with our curtains every 3 months)

These have no connection at all to this label as they were a Jamaican Sound System, Mutt’s real name was Kenneth Davy and he named his sound system Mutt and Jeff after the popular comic strip of the day which featured a very tall character, Mutt, and a “half-pint” named Jeff.

I guess stories do get miswritten over the years and thanks for letting us know

Mutt & Jeff originally was addressed at 1607 El Centro Avenue, Buddy Lowe joined the label as VP in 1971 for marketing and merchandising so perhaps some labels were issued then. I started thread here

I had that problem a bit when first using Discogs , but easily solved, I now get them to confirm the condition in detail, when the order has been placed or ask them first before ordering and problem solved

Most sellers I have come across are "Head and Shoulders" (other hair treatments are available) good sellers There is a forum on Discogs for these issues and I suggest you make your comments to that forum, rather than this one, or report your problem as I have found it really useful, if you buy a faulty car from Ford it's no good complaining to Vauxhall 😀

The last copy I watched closely was 9 years ago which went through Pat Brady for £1000 I agree with you as it is a record I would only bother with if I was 12/13 again in another life, but lots of folks love it so there we are

Amazing coincidence today ...... got up and went to one of our local car boot sales (nearly the end of the season) and picked up this for £1 and in really nice condition too Not had it before and it's actually really good IMO

Good job they weren't found in the UK or Europe then or there would be "bootleg" fever (Genuine Releases are available)
