Going off a slight tangent, Ive got a BM on a white Motown demo with the Map label. Is this rarer than the straight forward White Motown demo or are they as common as one another? Thanks - Al

My funeral march! Sez it all - Al
  3. The Monarchs Recording 'MR' is stamped with the circle around it in the deadwax. Issued in May 64 the Delta numbers you have listed are correct. If its definitely Styrene I would say its real. Also, I have always found Japanese sellers to be of honest integrity but that is obviously my personal experience with dealings I have had. Is he selling this on ebay or somewhere else? Wouldn't mind having a look but from what youve described. P.S - If the MR is scratched and not stamped into the deadwax its a bootleg!
  4. I heard the prices were a bit UP & DOWN on this one Sorry couldn't resist it! Al
  5. Mint promo here. Bit off topic but this is for sale if someone wants to make me an offer. PM if interested. Regards - Al

  8. Im sure thats an original. There should be a machine stamp that looks like a round disc with 2 drumsticks pointing into the middle in a 'V' shape A
  9. Hi Mike, Yes I think you're right, it must be the reissue especially with the matrix stamp in it. A
  10. Hi All, Can someone confirm if the attached is a boot or original. Everything points to a bootleg BUT it does have original circle / drumsticks matrix stamp in the dead wax. Thankyou in advance - Al
  11. Definitely Brilliant but never underrated! Al
  12. Cheers Mal. Much appreciated Al
  13. Hi All, Can someone clarify what denotes a demo copy on this label. Is it just a white copy of an issue or does it actually state 'promo' 'Not For sale' on the label. Thanks in advance for your answer(s). ATB - Al
  14. Rob, Still a much sort after item. I sold an issue on eBay for £311 last month!. Although its a Country & Western number and basically a heap of Sh*t to listen to, its the fact its a 500 member that makes it so desirable. You dont often see them for sale but I wouldn't be surprised if the Demo on JM's goes for £3/400. I think the issues are possibly rarer than the demo!?? Good luck with your quest. Al
  15. Shame you didn't ask yesterday. Let my copy go for £500. Think JM is auctioning one in March
  16. The trouble is, the majority of people on SS with vinyl to sell know the going rates for items as there are so many price guides & past history to refer to. I think the best price to get any 45 is on eBay if you are prepared to to be patient and play the waiting game. I think in this case you would be hard pushed to find this particular want for £65 from a private seller and if you did, I dont think the condition would be great. But good luck if one does turn up though. If you dont ask, you dont get. A
  17. One here you can make an offer on in M- codition. https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Northern-Soul-Young-...A1%7C240%3A1318
  18. Hi Pete, Aint ever seen one but it is listed on the Laurie Discography, which has many other surprises that I weren't aware it released. Interesting one I have to say. https://www.globaldogproductions.info/l/laurie.html Al

  20. Hi All, I know this is on the United Artists Compilation 'Sold On Soul' but was it ever released in the UK/US on 45 (or anywhere else for that matter)? If so, label and going rate for obtaining one! Kind regards - Al
