i pretty much know the story with the david rhodes but what year were they pressed up. i know its been done before but i havent got time to look.swopped a couple of 45s for mine and i personally love it. incidentally another IL record by the interpretations on love `i aint got nothing but time` is great .but the `A`side `coming out of hiding` is RANK dave two fantastic local do`s on at the end of the month FRI 30TH JAN EARL OF DONCASTER SAT 31ST FRIENDSHIP SOUL SESSIONS BARNSLEY

probably had a john manship guide in there as well . but did you see all those luvly 45s without sleeves .................shameful dave

but collecting soul records and collecting northern soul records are two different kettles of fish a lot of folk on here seem to get easily confused by the issue dave

yes ive had a few copies white label detroit styrene and silver label vinyl chicago presses but kept a copy on the yellow chicago music bag label for some reason. just dug it out. first time ive played either side in years.............nice 2sider dave

i googled that this morning and then amended my post. as i said their records were on t neck in the states from 1969 to 1985 but they were distributed by buddah til 73 and then columbia/epic til 85 dave

it made 82 on the soul charts in the states so theres always been a trickle of copies coming over. it also came out in france with a picture cover.....nice. also their other capitol 45 get a good feeling is very good and very funky. ive seen this going for good money on ebay. its also on there expensive seventy seven lp but i havent got that so i dont know if its a re recording or not dave

after leaving motown in 1968 they were on t-neck in the states until 1985 the t neck stuff being issued in the uk on major minor and then the stateside label. their uk output issued in the uk on epic started with the 3 + 3 lp in 1973.from 1985 they were on warner brothers. i dont think they were ever officially signed to epic in the states.isley jasper isley were signed to cbs asc in the mid 80s tho dave

yeh the boot has the allrights of the manufacturer stuff around the edge.has it got anti skate round the label as well dave

and its on plastic as opposed to styrene original.is it a boot or a genuine re issue from when it first went massive.coz if its a fake bell sound stamp they could have done it with hundreds of others but they havent dave

just picked up a mint demo for 30quid but it was from a mate locally. that said he also let me have a mint metros demo for 60..........just couldnt leave em at half price dave

its the green boot on styrene with an MR + delta stamp from 1976 with the same label design as the original only green with black writing. probably only worth 15UKP but you never know dave

original is yellow either way mick.havent got my copy to hand.the catolgue number looks right tho. i love the original version from 1972 by seals and croft on warner brothers also dave

i recall there being one on ebay about 3 years. i take it you mean you said yeah on del val. it made around 2000 dollars.popsike dosent show all the expensive stuff. anthony and the delsonics has been on at least twice but no copies on popsike dave

does crop up on ebay from time to time but the condition is usually down on them. i think the one JM had was near mint and at £300 it was a steal. 15 years ago it was a £500 record. but in 2009 you might get a vg copy for £150 on ebay. keep looking mate. im sure you`ll drop on one dave

there was another al wilson who was in canned heat who died of a drug overdose in 1970. but his voice was very distinctive also so chances are it wasnt him who did the wand 45. i also had a heated argument some years ago with someone who said the AW on soul city and AW on rocky ridge/playboy were two different fellows........................ dave

if youve got the cash and know where to look its a 45 you can pick up any day of the week. not rare at all first half of the record is great but for some reason the second half has me reaching for the stylus dave

isnt the 45 some kind of reissue. not sure if it came out originally on 45 in the early 70s dave

but nice to see. they look the same apart from the catalogue numbers. difference in price not much but now people will know what they are looking for dave
