Disco
Like any musical genre there's good and bad and to simply dismiss a genre completely is a little narrow minded. Yes, Village People / Boney M etc etc is the very worst of disco BUT look at something like Joey Negros Disco Spectrum compilations and the likes of Family Of Eve / Hudson People / Ramsey & Co / Al Hudson / Rare Pleasure can all easily fall under the umbrella of 'disco'. There's some great tunes out there which we call 'soul' 'northern' 'modern' 'crossover' etc etc but I bet there's quite a few out there when first produced were intended to be hits and cash in on the 'new music' of disco. 12" Soul Tunes
Probably a couple of quid a piece John to be honest. Not sure what sort of demand there are these days - Every day there seems to be tons of 12s going thru ebay with very little bidding going on at all. Best Rich

Cheap Rarities
Harold Burrage - 50/50 M-Pac. Hard to find these days in decent nick and price steadily creeping up. Rich

Ric Tic / Golden World Cd's
I would have thought with technology how it is today - Even using poor quality acetates / recorded from disc etc shouldn't detract from releasing material. We all 'clean' tracks when recording to the pc using various tools so why can't/shouldn't the major music companies? It is, unfortunately, another opportunity taken up by the bootleggers and not the rights owners. this is why bootleggers exist - to satisfy a demand not taken up by rightful owners. I would suspect maybe that a Golden World / Ric Tic project is not very high on Universals agenda when they have more important business to attend to such as the forthcoming mega mergers and of course, priming Britney Spears for the mother (sic) of all comebacks!!!!! Skip Jackson
Skip Jackson is one of those 45s that was around / common in the early 90s but like so many other quality 45s they get squirelled away in to collections and the seemingly quiet demand for sides like this keeps the price up. There's many more examples like Skip - Harder to do these days but I bet there's a few quality tunes around at the moment then if /when someone gets behind it the price will shoot up and copies become a little more scarce. And I don't mean someone paying for example way over the odds in a Manship auction for say Sister James............ Best Rich
