  1. About 40 singles for sale, take a look : https://www.ebay.co.u...=p2047675.l2562 Plus a lot,lot more........ Good luck..............
  2. At last got to watch this last night. We like the program anyway so the NS wouldn't have put us off. Better than expected although the "facts" were at best stretched Somethings I didn't know about NS. 1. Frank Wilson was discovered in 1968, in Newcastle (Dudley) 2. There are 3 copies, not 2 3. 'Let's get it on' was in fact released 5 years earlier than claimed to be. 4. They slowed danced at NS venues 5. You could actually pull a bird at a NS venue Good fun, love that light blue Ford Corsair
  3. Blue Sharks is an awfully difficult group to get info on. By all accounts they are from Belgian origin, recorded some singles and an album on the Star label in Belgium. Went to Italy and recorded there too. The Grand Prix singles were made mainly for jukeboxes they also recorded on the Leonardi label. They cut a couple of albums one on THS records. I have a photo of them, 4 blokes, 3 girls. Wonder where they are now ?
  4. Make an offer, say £1.00
  5. Some nice stuff there, well done
  6. Experience...............
  7. I have bought at venues, Keith Williams has always been a good place to visit and wherever he is I'll go see. Having said that I've come to the conclusion that the majority of records are at the top end of the price range, VG-ish condition and nothing that tickles my fancy. There are the exception, I thought that the sellers at Cleethorpes last year were very good and I did buy some but at the smaller venues it tends to be the low end stuff. I do buy on Ebay, you can still get a bargain, I try to stick to US sellers though, they tend to be cheaper and the records better condition (although I have to say that when a UK seller says 'Mint' it usually is just that). I avoid the GEMMS, Musicstack and the likes, over-priced, badly described and no way to get refunded (the mark of a good seller). Right now this is not a bad place to buy, also I ask people I've known for a while if they are selling anything. Not sure I'd agree about the reason for lower prices, the NS world is a different place than 5/6 years ago, the real oldies are nudging 60, the returning soulies have re-bought their collections and with the current economic climate people have other things on their mind. BTW it is OK for people to buy to DJ I do know a few who do that but they've tended to lose money, not much but lose all the same. Message : negotiate, negotiate negotiate..........................
  8. Sorted thanks...................(£48.00)
  9. That's about £50.00
  10. On Mirwood please, issue or demo, condition no so important. thanks
  11. I bought an issue but returned it because I wasn't convinced it was genuine. The seller was very good about, he himself is convinced it's an original. I paid less than £40.00 for it. Why would a demo be 4 times the value of an issue ? I know that you don't see too Mirwood many demos that's a big difference. BTW tell me if I'm wrong, the only sure fire way to tell a pressing from an original is to get it on styrene, n'est pas ?
  12. Cigarettes ashes, issue and demo ? What are they going for nowadays; thanks Chris
  13. Have Spellbinders - Help me on red Reo (also original issue on Canadian Columbia) plus some others stuff. I think there were two labels, Quality & Reo that issued soul stuff.
  14. Seen them sell for about $115-ish or less on Arc.
  15. Most of Edwin's Ric Tic stuff seems to have come out on Reo.
  16. On Arc = £60/70 UK Power Exchange = £15/20 Re-issue "Light In The Attic" = £40-ish The Arcs used to go for relatively serious money, £100 - 160 but those days seem to be well and truly over, good luck.
  17. Phew !! https://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?item=110894081250&pt=UK_Records&_sop=3&hash=item19d1cd64e2&_ssn=sweep113&rt=nc
  18. salted............thanks.........
  19. They used to play a James Brown album called "The Popcorn"
  20. I've sold VG+/Ex demos for about £300+, reckon a mint issue will set you back £400/500.
  21. Dat is een assumptie, geen bewijs voor of tegen !
  22. It's for a Belgian Popcorn DJ, they play anything, pressings, re-issues, CDs, etc. They have a different view (well most do) of what you can or can't play.
