  1. Think they'll recoup their costs ?
  2. https://www.facebook.com/kellyplatinummusic
  3. We used to a Jamaican/Caribbean run nighter called "The Alphabet Club", I think it was in Wardour street, the most terrifying place I ever went to. They played new releases constantly almost to the point of honour. Learnt how to do the "Rub" there
  4. Paul Anka - Can't help loving you. Probably some more, love Canadian labels.
  5. BTW nice little story to this. All the photos except one were taken by that girl, her name was Sue. I hadn't seen for about 3 years and in 1974 I met her at the Cromwell club in London, she was living with Ian Britton the Chelsea footballer, he and Ian Hutchinson were chucking pints down their throats.
  6. Yes I did know that, I think he's gone from there now though. There was another shop in Richmond we'd buy from called Quincy's. I suspect that's long gone.
  7. Used to buy all my clothes at the Ivy shop in Richmond. From my 16th onwards, ie 1968 up until about 1971.
  8. Taken in 1969, I was only 17 with my whole life in front of me. These photos had been stored in a garage for over 40 years and only came to light 3 weeks ago. We were well on our way to soul music by then.
  9. As I said they were "experts" in releasing very dodgy stuff.
  10. You could well be right, they were experts at doing this sort of thing.
  11. Here's a couple of interesting ones : The first one has the SABAM script, that is a Belgian only licensing body, I have to assume made for the Belgian market by Mojo UK. The other is I guess a UK issue, I've not seen one like this before, they tended to centreless and of course black.
  12. For the Polydor release 56709 is the original 1966 one, the later one is 56755, I think that came out in 1969.
  13. I have to assume that this is the "original" nineties release ?
  14. I think I bought one for a mate at about £150/200.00 on SS last year.
  15. Be patient mate, I saw one go for $95.00 a few months ago
  16. There are some pretty good prices there (if you're the seller) I saw that Luther Ingram, a tad ruff, thought it would go for about £150.00. As for Bobby Reed there was a time you could get over £250.00 for one, now if you're patient £100 could do it.
  17. Yes sometimes they won't bother to check, you should always say "these are large letters"
  18. Funny I paid about £2.70
  19. Well, you wouldn't think so looking at the high prices stuff going for on Ebay nowadays.
  20. Don't mind about condition but should play OK.
  21. In sympathy with the world cup being held in Brazil :
  22. I wish I had 5 copies
