  1. No, does have large 45
  2. You maybe right, legit for sure.
  3. Well done, keep on keeping on
  4. That might very well happen, if you see how many young people are now attending NS events, maybe they'll tire of old, balding farts telling them "back in the day lad"......
  5. I keep hearing a Belgian Popcorn single, I don't know what it's called, only that the group is either Zerrin or Rezzin and is on a green label, Aquarius. Anybody know this choon ? Any info welcome, thanks, Chris
  6. The Jerry C & Alex P have almost no matrix markings and are of a very thick vinyl, there is a way to tell by the positioning of the text, I think I did something on SS a year or 2 back.
  7. He's not a well man.............
  8. Al Wilson - Show and tell
  9. That's possible, they were manufactured by CBS/Okeh back in the 1970s and are legitimate. Once found an Eddie Parker boot in a mom & pop junk shop in Pennsylvania
  10. Thanks for answer, being offered at much lower rpices, good luck........r
  11. I have an issue of "Joan Moody - We must be doing something right"
  12. Yes all the small 45 one are missing publishing credits, only noticed that today when looking so I guess Pete's explanations sounds most likely.
  13. You may well be right Pete, looking at some other small 45 labels they do look similar and on the large 45s there are writing credits such as Jalynne and Curtom. Guess we'll never know
  14. I'd bought the demo about 5 or 6 years ago didn't realise I had the issue and it was only during a clearout that I put them next to each other.
  15. No, not for the Belgian Popcorn scene, they only like the very early releases on purple vinyl such as Rhythm, Crying in the rain, etc.
  16. Don't mind Chess or Starville, should play well, not interested in condition of label (or vinyl as long as it plays EX or better). Many thanks. Chris
  17. Sifting through some Major Lance singles and whilst my demo of this has a large 45, the issue has a small 45 akin to those later 70s re-issues. Looking at the cat nrs there were releases after Hot to hold all with large 45s, any idea why this one has the smaller 45 ? Are there others from this era ?
  18. Always thought that the Moses Smith boot was a fable and they are all originals, anybody got any labels scans of both ?
  19. That story came from Arthur Wright, the arranger of Hurt on the other side (as well as a shedload of other stuff). In the 70s both Alex P & Jerry C were very in demand items so it doesn't surprise me.
  20. They are boots, story is Simon Soussan wandered into Capitol records and wandered out with a handful of blanks.
  21. It is tough to tell the difference..............
  22. In fact I've contacted an Ebay seller today to tell her that what she was selling was a boot, have to say she was good about it, I showed her mine, will check to see if she's changed or removed it................
  23. Didn't somebody put TMG release of Frank Wilson on Ebay for about £20.000 or somesuch similar ?
