I've had Eddie Spencer on all 3 of those issues both the Canadian ones played lousy but the UK one nicely

His real name is Alfie Davison got fished up in the late 90s by Ian Levine, the guy was really down on his luck, didn't have a twig to scratch his backside with.

It's on a Goldmine CD, should pick one up for less than a fiver. The Philly Groove issue is in fact another take (not so good) the best is an late 80s re-issue/boot they pop on here from time to time.

Seem to remember there are 4 boot styles (what an honour ;-) the gold coloured one, a red vinyl, very shoddy and terrible repro, later on one that's pretty good sound wise but you can see label's not the original, there's one on Ebay right now, starting price £60.00. Some of the Cat Walk originals had back to front labels and the boots copied them so people thought originals were boots
