Crash Record Label
2047 - Mike Pearson - Are You Happy / Need To Belong - Crash This record is a completly different design to Jimmy Dobbins and the Steelers and doesnt mention Chicago. It also has "Sound Of The Future" which I dont think is on the other Crash releases. The reason I think they're linked is that this and Jimmy Dobbins are both Jerhart publishing and produced by Bob Lee. One that Vince sold a while back

slightly off topic, has anyone ever got a record which has a high value on the outside and didnt get hit with the customs charge?

45S
His latest blog talks about finding some undiscovered Nigerian stuff. Having worked in Africa and with Nigerians, going crate digging there he must be a very brave man. Excluding the recent news footage, it's always been a dangerous place to go and I know a few ex-pat Nigerians who don't particularly like going back.

Yodi Label / Discography ?
Right again, Dave. I'm starting to think that the 3rd Flight release was a bit of an anomaly compared to the other releases.

Yodi Label / Discography ?
Dave, Just checked and by jove your right. Slap me for my tardyness, will change my listing So there's 1001 to find. It's not Sharen Clark cos that's 1000 for both the A/B side and Bobby McNutt's Hold Tight is 1002 and that's the A-side, so I wouldnt have thought they'd put 1001 on the B-Side, or would they?

Top double sider

The Volcanos / Trammps - (Artist Of The Week)
The Night The Lights Went Out / I'm So Glad You Came Along is a great disco/soul double sider. I saw them at the Circus Tavern with Harold Melvin and the Three Degrees. They were bottom of the bill, but for me they stole the whole show.

GC Cameron was Out Of My Mind/No Need To Explain.

Eddie Ray - Glad I Found You
At a guess the one you may have wanted is the one without the address as the one with the address is a different mix, sort of softer if you know what I mean. Think they came out at the same time, but more than happy to be told otherwise if wrong. Its got some great southern style guitar work.

Lee Fields And The Expressions - Glasgow 06th April
From a black music perspective he does tick all the boxes, from ballads, soul dancers, funk and 80's boogie. I would expect his live shows to be very dynamic.

Look At Your Box...... Soul Swop Shop
I'm sort of thinking along the same lines as Bob. Are you talking about a CD swap, but one that's wider musically than the recent Sweet/Deep swap from a couple of months ago?

David Ruffin Documentry

News: Carla Thomas - (Artist Of The Week)
Her Hidden Gems CD from the early 90's was packed with crackers and all previously un-released and just shows that the quality of the rest of her Stax output was top notch. My fave's on this apart from I'll Never Stop Loving You are: My Man Believes In Me, It |Ain't An Easy Thing, Good Man & Goodbye My Love.

Lost Records In The Post - Who Does The Claim For The Lost Package
It was just a general enquiry really. In the last 25 years I've only had 2 packages lost, both in 2010 (one from France and one from the US) and I've claimed via paypal.
-
Lost Records In The Post - Who Does The Claim For The Lost Package
This has probably already been done, but couldnt find a specific thread. If you buy a record and you pay via paypal or not, but dont recieve it. Someone has to make a claim on the post office, so who does it, the buyer or the seller?

Charlie 'cole Black' Brown - I Got Your Love/i Just Can't Get Over You - Jewel
The advantage of this one compared to the original is that this is a vinyl press, whereas the original is styrene. So less chance of it getting needle burn when played more than twice.
