Little Richard - I Don't Know What You Got (But It's Got Me)
A fantastic bit of deep soul from 65 - I wish he'd kept to soul, but I'd like to know when and where the combined release of pts1&2 originally came out? I see that on the Mr Big LP on UK Joy, that it states pt1 and pt2 as consecutive tracks, but are they infact just one track or are they still split or is the first appearance of the combined track on a CD? Cheers, John

King Diamond
This is O C Tolbert under a pseudonym. Message is a great tune, but IMO the other side That's All She Wrote (also covered by Gil Billingsley) is even better. A perfect piece of austere soul.

Not Had A Natter About Watches For A While
I was given a Tag Careara from work as a way of rewarding excelence. It is a beautiful piece of engineering. Had to decide whether to keep it or not as I normally wear a white faced Explorer II, which I have always loved and never get bored of. Decided to sell it and even put it in sales on here, bit its gone now. As Baz mentioned Bulgari, a friend of mine had one and I've never seen one since - it was rubber!

Tommy Tate - Hold On - Malaco - Album
I do think that £200 is a bit too expensive and i'm more in line with Paul and Dave's view that its £100-130. A while ago this LP never seemed to turn up, but in recent years and with the advent of the Internet, they do come up periodically. I do agree that it's a rare record and have seen more "Four Tracks" and other "rarer records" come up for sale in larger quantities than this.

Barbara West - Anyone But You/you're No Good - Ronn 27
Anyone got a ballpark price for one of these?

Bobby Patterson I Get My Groove From You
Just listented to them both and they don't sound the same person to me as IMO Bobby Shannon voice seems smoother and doesn't have the Texas twang that Bobby Patterson has, if you know what I mean....... even though Tomar is a Texan label. Then again I could be wrong.... According to the record this is release 11, I wonder if the previous 10 exist somewhere, or just fanciful numbering?

Bobby Patterson I Get My Groove From You
If you get the LP, and also want the A-side of the single too (which isn't on the LP), the demo can be picked up for about a fiver.

Ann Peebles
I've got it on the Full Time Love CD which came out on Bullseye Blues in 92. Funny as I was gonna put it on the latest CD swap, may think again or just put it on it anyway......

Unexpectedly Good B Sides
Over the years I've found lots (too many to mention individually) of great tunes on the flip and sometimes I end up prefering that side. For me, what seems to be cropping up more these days is that there's an indemand sweet or deep side on the back of an indemand funk or northern side so one mans A-side is another mans B-side and vice versa. This then can lead to different genre collectors both wanting the same record which sometimes leads to bidding wars and a general increase in price.

Soul Acts We Underrate
Also thought that Eddie Floyd hasn't really had his work championed and is quite down the pecking order of soul greats.

45S You Felt Were Crap And Sold Cheap
Mossy, No,nerve hit . We've all done it. To name some that I've sold that I've liked, let alone the ones I didn't like: Frank Beverley, Al Mason, Drapers, Natural 4 and the list goes on. For me, once they've been bought and in my collection, I consider them to have no value. The money is spent and gone even though technically I have an asset. My previous post was a bit serious wasn't it....

Soul Acts We Underrate
Tony, I agree with the Sylistics comment, their earlier stuff was fantastic along with some of their later stuff on TSOP. I've always loved the Trammps, ignoring their Golden Fleece LP, their buddah stuff is great and I just love "The Night The Lights Went Out" on Atlantic More in the Disco Soul vein as well with Double Exposure.....

45S You Felt Were Crap And Sold Cheap
Should you care if records you have sold go up in value after you have sold them, especially if you don't like them? Surely if you were happy with the sale price at the time of sale that should be it, looking back is always a bad thing when pricing/valuing records.
