I prefer the album version - such a camp cover... The dancing bit in the middle is longer, cant remember if theres an extra verse or not or is that just the 12" version of Heaven in the Afternoon that I keep confusing it with.

Oh, come on Jock its a great disco dancer that wouldn't be out of place if you heard it on the love boat. So its got nothing to do with soul and is out and out disco, weve all heard worse.

W King Cole - I Wonder Why - Micron
Always thought that Micron was only a Jamacian label... Funny alot of play lists on the Web say Micron Canada for it. I did stumble on quite an interesting article on the Canadian reggae scene. Mr Rounce are you in the house, surely you can answer this?

People (James Brown) Discography
In the back of the James Brown biography out a few years ago, there is quite a comprehensive discography of James Brown productions

Blue Eyed Soul Albums
IMO one of the greatest soul tunes of all time...

Blue Eyed Soul Albums
This one. You can tell the man was heavily influenced by Otis. The whole LP for me epitomised the genre of soul irrespective of colour

The Beatles Backed By The Funk Bros
A miserable record - I've never like the Beatles and this has just cemented my view...
-
Larry Sanders-This Is My Prayer
Been singing it's praises for a couple of years, now. Even put this on the CD I burned for the X-Over CD swap last December. Tim Brown had one on his last list for £15. Too cheap to go big .

Ovo Definition
The Sping Sides was the first time it came out. Hears another thing that hasn't really sat well with me, is Chuck Jackson's - Whats with this lonelness and Carla Thomas - I'll never stop loving you. The originals of these are both CD's and the 100 club singles were issued (a while later) on the back of their popularity. So these IMO are re-issues even though its their first exposure on vinyl

Joe Tex -All The Heaven A Man Really Needs( Dial) Nm

Green Stax - How Many?
I remember reading that it was all to do with the change in distributer and who owned the back catelogue and the stax logo, which is why the green releases came out for a while

Reduced Prices...from Mark Rez .joe Tex/zingara/stanley Clarke/joyce Bond/roosevelt Grier
Surely, it's too cheap to be any good? Put a nought at the end of the price, it'll fly out the door...

Sam Dees
Thought that was the alt-take. If so, as Benji said its from the Jap P-Vine LP From Atlanta To Birmingham - and it has added girlie backing

Record Mountain Growing By The Day
Everyone is in agreement, that certain big ticket items will always be sought after and keep their price. What frustrates me is the high price of more common/less demand stuff. If you look at the major dealers web sites these tunes are on there for long periods of time, so it leads me to think that either they have boxes of them, everybody has a copy or they must be over priced? Yes, dealers initially set the price, but if they don't sell, surely that means that the market (buyers) feels that it is too expensive or not wanted, so who's right and who's wrong? Dealers must be earning income by other means as holding stock costs money (warehouse and funding costs). Its the same with every market place, if something is too expensive the price drops until a buyer is found, this doesn't seem to happen for the major dealers. Everything goes through cycles and record prices should be no different. I havent got any of the price guides, but has any record in them gone down (edition to edition)?

Sellers How To Avoid Paypal Fees
I think there is a downside to this. If the purchased item is faulty and you want a refund but the seller refuses, I don't think you can make a claim, as the payment was originally a gift.

Manships Prices
But why didn't it crash after my last bid was accepted...
