  2. There's a Bill Haney/Chant article in VFTS-19, and it talks about this.

https://www.globaldogproductions.info/ theres a disco on this site. The output does seem varied, with a few country bits
  4. It should be quite cheap... Cheers, John
  5. And the other side which I think is equally good and also recorded by King Diamond (O C Tolbert) is on one of the other Dave Hamilton CD's
  6. Well if you're thinking of offin it, please give me a shout.
  7. Wow thats a chunky price I've seen a few Lonnie Youngblood Demo's about over the years, but I personally don't remember seeing an issue, or I would have had it. Is it rare or have I just been unlucky?

I thought it was the same cut as the earlier released red one? If so, its in Refosoul

Here's the other side, which I actually prefer.

Lennie Satin - Somebody Help Me / Homebound IMO it sounds quite sounthern even though its from Chicago. I'll post up a scan tonight, unless someone does it before me.
  11. Its the reissue and I think is about the same price and an import 12"? Came out in 1976, originally on the small CSC logo then on Hamito-Semitica

Pete Smith sold one on here last year for £1,250
  13. Its "super party" Very rare I believe. I wanted to be a ball park price when I sold mine and contacted a few major dealers and none of them could help me or knew it. Sold it to a guy in the Caroliners for a tidy sum. Then a couple of months later the bootlegs/reissues appeared.

I thought Sly was Sammy Acunas own label?
  15. Yep, sent it the next day, but saying that some people didn't some of my mails. Thats hotmail for you... Send me a pm and I will send his address.
  16. Guys, I'm cool with records on the wantslist or bought..., but I'm not a big fan of marking the CD's. The CD's in the swaps are an expression of that persons taste. If you start saying ones better than another, that may put people off participating in future swaps. It potentially could lead future swappers just trying to outdo each other, putting on ultra rare tunes looking for gratification. Just my thoughts. John

It sold for about £900 at a recent JM auction. Quite a few of people got copies from Garry Cape in the late 80's
  18. Here is a scan of both sides. Its the same text and Font as the Soul Bowl one but differernt to the one on JM. Surely there must be more about?
  19. I now have doubts about my copy.... if Garry hasn't seen one. It looks like the SB one, but don't remember seeing the "Not for sale" on it, maybe its only on one side and never noticed it. I need to try and fix my scanner tonight and post it up.
  20. Gareth, I'm an issue freak, so to me the issue has more value than the demo, even though that may not be the case from a monetary perspective. I haven't got printer access as home at present, so can't scan my copy, but if you compare scans of the one Soul Bowl is selling https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/70s-MODERN-SOUL-CHAR...A1%7C240%3A1318 and the one on JM's site https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/images/scans/47614.jpg Generally IMO the type is smaller on the SB copy than the JM scan? The text "Pollyday (BMI)" & "Soul Company" on the the SB copy is smaller and the the right hand side the "Record Corp" is under "1973 Jewel" also where its not on the JM copy. So who's selling the original, Soul Bowl for a min bid of £20 or JM for a tenner?
  21. I've just noticed that SoulBowl have this for sale on ebay stating that it is the original press. I had a look at my copy and it's exactly the same except mines not a demo (text is all in the same places and in the same font). I then compared it to the picture on John Manships site. This one is different to the SoulBowl and my one, so I'm assuming its the re-press. I also remember reading an article by Tim Brown saying that this was quite rare, but cant remember if he was talking about the issue or demo or both. Can anyone shed any light on this, and if theres any significant price difference? Cheers, John

Has anyone already posted it up (I cant find it) or could someone post up Gentlemen & Their Lady as I don't think I've heard it.
  23. Baz, Isn't the point to say theres no demand, thus getting them at knock down prices..... Not that I'd want to be dishonest.
  24. Pete, Better to just only send it to the 5 people who responded to your post
