  2. Sean, Got to agree with you there. The Quiet Elegence HI CD, is a gooden for me. Currently got Bully's CD from the last swap in the car..... John
  3. It also has a liitle mini track in between each track. Played it again recently and IMO it doesn't come up to their other stuff.

Do you want the light blue one or the red reissue? John
  5. Dave mentioned it on here a while ago. Said he priced them up as 1879's and they flew out the door....

I like Garland Green and Clay Hammonds versions as well
  7. I'm off to Johannesburg with work in January. I don't envisage any crate digging, but thought it's worth a try asking people if there were any shops? South African released soul records have also been mentioned here from time to time, which I find it quite strange as these were released during the apartheid. So are there any oddities to look out for? Cheers, John
  8. Written by Dik Darnell, Variena Music BMI, Produced by Dik Darnell & Larry Thompson. just read the pack of the sleeve. it was a special holiday release to the LP You got me running

  10. The other side is "I Can Hold My Own" which is a superb growler...
  11. Rod Dearlove had it on his site at £500 for a little while a few months ago, gone now of course. Tats played it at Monumental, made my night.
  12. Nick, If somebody doesnt do it before I get home, I'll post up the details tonight. I heard that this was a xmas freebee that came with his LP, but I could be wrong. John
  13. Wow thats blown my estimation out the water by about £500, I'm on the buy side. I assume thats a ballpark price for each of the Charades, Paul? Cheers, John
  14. Here is my results from taking the on-line test on the drinkaware web-site https://www.drinkaware.co.uk/ "Your drinking may be causing you some problems. We recommend that you speak to a health professional who can provide you with personalised drinking advice. If you're worried about your own or someone else's drinking, you can also call this free helpline, in complete confidence. They can put you in touch with your local alcohol advice centre for help and advice. Call Drinkline on 0800 917 8282 (open 24 hours)." Quite worrying results on initial viewing. I don't drink that often, and it's mainly when I go to soul nights. Maybe I should start driving to do's . Point 3 is a tough one, as my wife sees my postie more than she sees me .

  16. Agreed, I should proof read before submitting. So my new year's resolutions are: Give up smoking Lose weight Send only 1/2 of my purchased tunes to my work address Learn to spell
  17. I'm very impressed with the time and effort people have spent on the sleeves/playlists as well as the tunes on the CD. I must do better on the prentation next time.
  18. I spoke to John Anderson about Innersection about 6 months ago. He told me that the lable owner was a friend of his and as a new release he got 1,000 to sell .
  19. It would have been great to get them, shame I was only 10 years old at the time.
  20. I found the French sellers the worst, tended to ignore them, unless I confirmed a real postage amount, up front.

My Bobby Eaton, is a plain green demo with Galaxy in a silver font. Completely different design from this one. I'll post up a scan later. Great tune and has been a favourite of mine for quite a while.
  22. Adrian, Interesting CD.... I'm surprised theres not more about if it was booted/repressed. The cover still looks too early for 1980 to me. All the best, John
  23. Surfing the web as you do... I found this https://www.funkjazzsoul.net/r597.jpg I have never heard of this album before now and wondered if anyone knew of it or knew what was on it? Although on the Double Hit 7", maybe "I Can't Live Without You" could be on this too. His clothing on the cover could fit the early to mid 70's. I've tried to find a way to contact the web site, but theres no contact facility. Please can anyone help? Cheers, John
