  1. It was known in the 1970's and often sold with the other good Constellations "I Didn't Know How To" side by side on lists, for not very much money. It's just that "I Don't Know About You" was not in vogue at that time. Possibly if someone had played it in a venue it might have taken off! I remember back in the 70's, playing it on the home record player, it seemed a little too laid back for the allnighters, even though now it sounds great👍
  2. Yes "Point Of No Return" it's maybe a better version of the once popular record by Dusk on Bell.
  3. Both Constellations used to be £1 to £3 on the Soul Bowl regularly. There must be plenty of copies in collections!
  4. "Sad Souvenirs" The great flip side of "I Can't Help Myself" by the Four Tops. There are lots of Motown hits with great flip sides!
  5. On Hold. Record in great Ex + condition. Original first issue demo Backbeat. £25 incluedes postage to UK address.
  6. rarenorthernsoul.com has a list out today with, "The Bounce" - The Olympics - Sue WI 348A. Mint. It is probably a one you already have, but I thought there is no harm in mentioning it😊
  7. Sorry I can't answer that, but does the demo play quiet/low-fi?
  8. I once found a Martha Reeves "Come And Get These Memories" on Oriole at a car boot sale, along with a mint Stateside white demo with red A, of "Girl Why Do You Wanna Make Me Blue" by the Temptations. That was a good day!👍
  9. Are you talking about Steve Jeffries sales list? rarenorthernsoul.com
  10. This is the original version on the rarer blue label. First played back in the Torch days this is a real stormer! The yellow label copies are a later recut with a much slower, quieter production. The record is stunning Mint- condition and is an original first issue. £350 plus £9.50 fully insured postage to a UK address
  11. SOLD Original UK first issue Demo with promotional sleeve. Classic Northern Soul with rare sleeve. M- record. Sleeve Ex. £40 plus £4.60 recorded delivery postage.
  12. Maybe it was because red is associated with stop, but green means go!?
  13. Sorry but the copy in the picture looks like the 1970's vinyl bootleg. It's vinyl and not styrene. Original is styrene with the delta number.
  14. From the start of the UK Tamla Motown label the demos where white with a red A. The issues where the familiar black label. Then as Woodbutcher says, they changed the demo design to a green label with a white A in 1966. The issues remained a black label. A UK label expert will be able to tell you what label number they where up to when they changed the demo design.
  15. Yes it does, I've noticed that. It's a great record for most of it's running time, but I have always thought it seems to lose it's way towards the end!
  16. Hopefully yes, as "Nobody's Gonna Love You" is a great record. Especially for the Northern Soul fraternity👍
  17. Yes it's a known tune. I had a copy from the Soul Bowl back in the 1980's. It used to be on his Detroit catalogue. The other side is ok as well, if my memory serves me correctly.
  18. Two quality Crossover Northern Soul sides. Original Mon'ca 45. Excellent condition. Looks and plays great. £120 plus postage to UK address.
  19. Looks like the pen written dates on all three copies pictured are by the same person! Someone who is handy with a black marker pen! Anyone known a handwriting expert?😊
  20. I would think that the very first time this record was pressed was the large Archer stamped white demo, then it stands to reason that the first issues to be pressed would be the large Archer stamped issues at the same pressing plant. Then when they needed more pressed up a little later, they have gone elsewhere to get the non-archer stamped records pressed.
  21. This picture shows the first press, and it's the same as the white demo! Also it has the right vinyl profile on the outer edge, different from the counterfeit with the fake archer stamp. I am now starting to think that the Nashville press is still part of the original release effort.
  22. Yes and lately another USA seller has had many mint Swan white demo's of Janice Christian "It's Just A Bad Thing" for auction. They are all still selling the going rate.
  23. Good idea, but it needs a time limit. Most records have been found in quantity at one time or another! In the 1970's/80's John Anderson at the Soul Bowl was bringing back multiple quantities of records, that are now going for silly money! Maybe only records found in quantity in the last 5 years onwards?
  24. Original first issue Demo copy of this great early 70's Crossover record. Condition is m- Stereo one side and Mono the other. £30 + 4.69 to UK address. Any question please just ask.
