  6. ridiculous nonsense
  7. amazing looking label...wheres it out of?
  8. I think its sublime and easily as good as 'I'm Gonna...' Pretty sure John has auctioned two copies over the last few years? Also been a couple on ebay too....
  9. "Like any record, it depends how it would sell if priced at £50. If it was listed and went straight away and 10 more people phoned for it, then it's not a 50 quidder any more. I'm not saying that would happen with this, but demand for records can go up within a few months these days. I dont know much about Northern but R&B like this and records such as Bobby Adams 'what a mess', Freddy Butler 'Pitter Patter', Banny Price on Jewel have gone from £30-40 records that only a few people knew to £150 records within a year, i expect similar things happen on the northern scene? Sign of healthy interest if you ask me - some you're on early, some you're on late and have to pay for. Lots of great records get stuck around the £20-50 mark untill people start to play them and other people start to know and want them. only when there's a certain amount of demand do you find out how rare a record really is I guess." Lil Gray on Jerma is an excellent example of this in action....

"Surely that means it was dealt with at the time? So the posting about it on a forum is an attempt to escalate the dispute?" But as has been previously said this forum is here to discuss the sort of issues stunts like this raise.....? What about the thread going on about that punch up recently.....that didn't have anything to do with the music at all but all the grievances got aired on this forum!

'What, bleating on about it on a forum instead of fronting the person there and then?' Pretty sure he said that he had spoken to him there and then.....check the original post

I'd say its been done deliberately in the hope of James doing exactly what he's done.....

"Not being funny... but the only ones deserving of any real credit in my book are the artists who recorded the record." totally

  17. Corbett80 replied to a post in a topic in All About the SOUL

This just sounds like a stupid, childish and unfunny thing to do frankly, and pretty sad from what i would imagine is a man in his fifties at least. Surely any beef should be dealt with face to face rather than through a DJs spots.
  19. Used to buy off Brian when I was buying soul jazz/ r&b, always had tidy records in good condition arrive fairly quickly. A sound dealer in my experience.
  20. agreed well chuffed when i found out it was a cheapie!

  23. Was The Crow considered groundbreaking at the time of its first plays?
  24. looks like excercise dancing. None of the emotion of proper dancing, tho it could be developed maybe if some better music was introduced?
