  1. No i think its awesome because her vocal is fantastic and its got a tough driving rhythm & soul backing accompanied by great piano, which just about ticks all the boxes for me with this sort of record. Listen to her voice when she comes back in on the break on top of that guitar lick.....'i got it down baby'......doesn't get any cooler than that. If it was £20 i'd have bought one ages ago.
  2. definitely not
  3. yep
  4. Still think this is one of the best rhythm & soul records i've ever heard at an allnighter. Absolutely awesome. Remember hearing Roger play this, the bonkers instrumental and E.Williams a while back and wondering if you could get better r&b records than that..... Think the Big Tim & The Empires acetate would have to go in with that little lot as well. ps. Fairly sure there was a pic of the Beltone Swticharound on an old Capitol flyer from way back when?
  5. Great to see you both too, cracking wedding wasn't it? Would be good to see some more pics as well!
  6. 'I got this one off ebay last week, 80 something quid.' I thought i'd seen another one recently! B)
  7. seconded! wish i'd seen it!
  8. I picked this up on ebay a few years back for £60, then moved it on last year on here. Couldn't get on with her vocal at some points, although the instrumental is good. Ady Lupton has or had it for a long while as well.
  9. could anyone please pm me his details? need to send him payment for a 45! thanks! JM

Theres a whole series of Low Rider comps with super rares on like Joe Jama, Four Dynamics, Optimistics, El Count Executives and other stuff called 'Soulful Thangs' for those interested. They seemed to like an uptempo number in moderation, and mainly focused on sweet group soul, mostly male as well it would seem. Was it mainly an LA thing Gareth?
  13. I think its a great northern record as well.... B)

  15. Can anyone post a clip of the flipside up please? 'Don't be so jive' needs playing out LOTS. Can't get enough of this sort of stuff to be honest. The bit where the backing kicks back in....perfick!
