Four Seasons 'The Night' USA 45 release?
Is there actually a USA 45 release on Mowest? 45cat suggests MW-5025 but I cannot find an image for this 45 anywhere! I've never seen a copy. Anyone got a scan?

Bit of info here suggesting that Carol is Bayer Sager and the 'D-Men / Fifth Estate' connection... https://www.45cat.com/record/k13568

Carol & Gerri
Any info on this pair who did the 2 sided classic...? It has been suggested that Carol is 'Carole Bayer Sager' who was married to Burt Bacharach. So who's Gerri? Anybody know? Gerri Diamond perhaps?

If the term northern soul had not come about ?
You have a point! There must be at least 8 F.Valli / 4 Seasons tunes that have had plays on the NS scene. Can you name 8 from Otis? It must be the pop/Motown sound is (was?) more at home on the scene than the 'grits n' chiltlins' southern sound. EDIT: I suppose it's all about the danceability of a tune rather than where it's actual origins lie?

I get it, A Northern, Soul And Action Group just needed a comma.....however how do you explain this one then?

If the term northern soul had not come about ?
Here you go, scroll down a bit and you will see a gig ad for St. Louis Union 'The Group On The Northern Soul Scene'....this must have been in the 1960's surely!!! https://www.manchesterbeat.com/groups/stlouisunion/stlouisunion.php

There is, I've seen it and may have saved it in my docs somewhere. I'll look for it.

If the term northern soul had not come about ?
'Rare Soul' was the other name being banded about (well, in the 80's anyway). I like the term 'Northern Soul', you have to admit it's got a good ring to it! Even the Yanks are calling it that now!!

YOUR AUTUMN OF TOMORROW
Stan Vincent was also involved with this group's first 45 release back in the 60's (which was under their 'everyday name'). I don't believe they ever played live gigs as the Crow Just out of interest Roburt, what was their 60's / 'everyday' name?

Kent Anniversary 45's
Anybody noticed that the last 4 seem to be readily available on ebay for as little as £15/25 each? There seems to be an abundance of them. Any before that are in the £100 range (or thereabouts). What's happened? Are they pressing extra copies exclusively for dealers or is that the quality has dipped?

Joe Jama - Phases of time - Optimum - OP 103
I've just added 103 to the Optimum catalogue on 45cat as it wasn't on there so that speaks for its elusive pedigree! https://www.45cat.com/record/nc709220us&rc=751286#751286 BTW: I collect the label and have 3 by the Royal Jesters.

surprised by your own collection?
Talk about a surprise. Took a box of 'not needed' 45's to the local record shop in the hope that I'd get a £1 each for them. Owner of the shop wasn't interested in any of them. A few weeks later I popped back in there and was thumbing through some Psych LP's and came across a compilation called 'Rubble' or something like that featuring... and I quote 'Rarities From The UK'. You guessed, one of those 'not needed' 45's was on there! I posted it on ebay and got..... https://www.popsike.com/Abel-Fletcher-Girl-On-The-Shore-Rare-FreakbeatPsychOrganRubble-1970/201201578400.html Just goes to show, you really don't know what you've got lurking in your 'throw away' box!

Possibly THE Rarest Soul 45?
I'll be buying one that's for sure. As A Motown collector I need a USA one. I have 2 UK copies, the first 1970's release (TMG 1170) and the alternate version which is this one....
