  2. There's some crap on 'Dearborn'... I remember buying a Dearborn 45 'cos it had a company sleeve but the music was C/W So I guess it's not solely a Soul label.
  3. I've got some top notch Reggae/Ska L.Ps and also some top notch Soul L.Ps....love them both! Pama, Trojan, Studio One, Coxsone, Pyramid, Blue Beat V Kapp, RCA Victor, Motown, Imperial, Minit, Atlantic, Stax

    Pm'd you re- Perlean Gray
  5. I have it on a tape, it's a great track!
  6. At the end of the summer I saw a Stax L.P by Lena Zavaroni on a car boot, I just couldn't bring myself to buy it! Begs the question: Stax, why?
  7. The Soupy Sales LP on Motown I have is called 'A Bag Of Soup', and as I said in an earlier post there are a couple of decent Motown dancers on it.
  8. WOW! why did I always think they were a blue-eyed outfit??!!!! Great stuff, I have the L-Rev 62068 45 as above.
  9. oh, my deadwax is 10/11mm wide.
  10. The matrix on mine is as Sebastian has described. I got mine straight from the States with a few other originals donkeys years ago. As I said, I have had the darker green, crumbly label boot and compared it with mine, very different.
  11. Kegsy, yours is the same as mine then. Here's mine, definite original. I've had the boot also and compared them side by side, loads of differences. My original copy...
  12. Not 100% mate but if you look at all the images of the boots on this thread and look at the original copy you can see the differnce in the position. The original scan I posted is not my copy but I just pulled mine out of my box and it sits in the same position, dead center over the hole. Mine also has the prominent 'ring'.
  13. Kegsy, does the 'window' art on the label sit nice and perfect above the center of the hole on your copy?
  14. Another tell tale sign is that the 'window' box art on the label, on the boot it is slightly to the right of the center hole. On the original it sits perfectly in the middle.
  15. Original... The boot is a slightly darker shade of green and as Pete say's, patchy label
  16. You might have more luck over on the pama forum site.... https://s7.zetaboards.com/PAMA_FORUM/index/

  18. I have the lookalike boot, hard to tell from the original and I actually got offered £50 for it a few years back!! Good sound quality too. It's such an in-demand track, always has been and always will be. Original has got to £100+

  21. Lets not forget a bit of Northern Soul..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH-OcVC3_TY
  22. I like that. There is a Who connection somewhere, I remember something in the back of mind about Nicholas' father being a friend of Townsend or something like that. Talking of Townsend, picked up a UK Columbia 45 from the charity shop the other day by the Barron Knights 'Lazy Fat People / In The Night' 1967. Forget the A side, the B side is a nice Mod workout which is also something to do with Townsend.

Does sound funny but I suppose £10 in 1980 was a bit of a wedge
  24. It's supposed to be a true story. They ain't the Sapphires who were on 'Swan' and HMV over here though are they?
