  1. I think this organisation is growing up and working out who/which of it's customers actually really matter , and maybe , maybe is begining to getting it sorted? [ no , I'm not a shareholder! ] pete
  2. Looks very similar to my collection Pete, think we must have the same tastes! Interesting that you didn't credit Lee Perry instead of The Creators 'Kimble' on Amalgamated?? Still laughing at Stranger Cole's 'You Should Never Have To Come'....Christ, I'd hate to see the size of his gonads!! BTW, Thanks for the nod re- the Pama forum, I'm Johnny Too Bad on it.
  3. I've got that E.P but my cover has a big chunk torn off it.....mmmm maybe you ought to e-mail that seller... btw, take a look at their feedback list and view some of the sleeves they've sold, some are gorgeous and gone for a lot of money!!
  4. Thats the boy Tommy Potts, he's the guy when it comes to rare Northern Soul mate. Ex Brit I think.
  5. You gotta admit, they're bloody good though aint they! Just thinking, if you had a rare L.p or E.P with no cover, wondered if they could make you one just like the original?
  6. I always say to my kids...I've suffered and so will you!

Re- 'My Life With You' ...Yeah, 1980's was when I heard it...loved it...bought it....still love it!
  8. Jimmy Bailey is an Uptempo Ashford/Simpson Northern tune, so not the same one. Anyway....I heard about these Mexican bidders before. I've missed something though...why are they doing this???
  9. thanks Pete. I've e-mailed someone called D. Sandford. Quick reggae question...am I right in thinking that Jackie Edwards 'Hush' is the same song as Jimmy Bailey's Northern tune on Columbia??
  10. My apologies to Craig for slightly digressing from his original thread....but Pete, I can't get on the Pama forum!! I have registered and all that but they have not sent me any validation e-mail and it's been a few days?? Do they always take this long? I have tried to reply to some threads but I keep getting the 'Not allowed to use' error message. Any pointers?
  11. Cracking tune this one! I included this on our local Soul night free givaway CD. Also, 'Give A Man A Break' was released on orange 'Up Look' re-issue a few years ago with Delegates Of Soul on the flip.
  12. Don't think I've seen that one Ian. Is it/was it on this thread??
  13. Here's the deadwax markings on my Atco distributed orange label. Bought this off Ian Clarke about 10 years ago for £25. scratched in: HB - 11335 - 11 AT (very small) W (very small)
  14. Don't think so Dave, I've never heard it out (then, I don't go to that many outside of East Anglia!!!). Bit of a 'Tighten Up' groove going on with the record.

Good instrumental (if I remember right??)
  20. Got a fast instrumental version in my collection somewhere but I can't remember who it's by.....somebody Nelson I think (NOT Sandy!) Let me know if you want me to look...can't do a sound clip though, sorry.
  21. Record on it's way Albert!
  22. 'Bell Bottom Blue Jeans' on Chess by Sonny (somebody, I can't remember his name?) was the original USA soul version that Symarip nicked 'Skinhead Girl' from!
  23. Thanks for that, he obviously loved the tune enough to re-cut it for this 1979 album.
  24. Just got an L.P, Terry Callier 'Turn You To Love' Elektra 1979. Cracking version of 'Ordinary Joe' obviously re-done version??? What year was the release on Cadet??? I know someone on here can help...
