  1. Sounds f***ing awesome played out loud! Love it to bits!
  2. Nice record, it's a soul/r&b tune. Similar to 'I Don't Want To Cry' by Chuck Jackson (and others). Getting played at the Mod venues I hear. By the way Dukester, even if I had a spare I wouldn't sell it to you cos' of your disrepectful comments about my team!! (only joking mate)

By the way Mischief, off subject a bit, are they still saying that Bromley is is Kent? A mate of mine reckons its South London now!!! Or do I need an early night???!!!

Think he means if the original is say, £800, then obviously £300 is nearer to a £20 boot!!!
  5. From 'The Northern Soul Of Dore' (NOMCD 001)
  6. Wow! You been in there yet?
  7. I like it, but then I'm a sucker for those blue-eyed group sounds! The intro is great and it would have definitely been better if they used the same piece halfway through.
  8. Original of Enchantments is on Faro, the Joker 45 came with a couple of other tracks and is a boot. Mind, think it's got Peanut Duck on the flip so worth having as that was never released any other way. John
  9. It must be bad, I once heard it played on 'Neighbours'....!!!!

Flip (of the UK Trojan one) is a nice version of Fontella Bass' Leave It In The hands Of Love.
  11. mmm, that's interesting Pete, I have a copy of Chase 6000 'MIKE & THE JOKERS - There's Got To Be A Girl' uptempo Northern (almost definitely blue-eyed).....got it from the States a few years back, it's in Manship's guide for £75.....obviously the same group as your one but Mike has dropped his surname... have to say, your one isn't listed at all...

Keep the Ronjerdon copy. Great flip too!
  13. Sure I read somewhere that 'Sweet Sherry' from the Volt/Stax l.p is the first take and differs slightly from the UK Contempo 45. Anyone confirm this? Also, don't forget J.J's 'To An Early Grave' on contempo, nice mid-tempo.

Bob Marshall & the Crystals 'You Got Me Crying'...the best release by them and it's a B side!!! I've been after a copy for a while now, seen the other 2 on L-Rev a few times but this one's eluding me! good luck.
  15. But he claims his father WAS the LEAD SINGER!
  16. Completely right Trevski on all counts.
  17. Had this for years and always thought it would make it big one day....perhaps it's time is now due! On the great Shurfine label.
  18. Always rated it so that's no surprise really!
  19. Oh I see him now, doh! Thought you'd been eating too many pies.
  20. Is that a straight jacket you're wearing in your pic Ken?
  21. It's a NORTHERN soul record though !!! ooops
  22. Definitely agree with you there! One of the best blue-eyed soul outfits of the 60's. Great group.
  23. I've started a new thread just in case a lot of those who dismissed this as a 'white pop' record have stopped reading this thread.
  24. /redirec...nion_id%3D11620 Read it and then tell me they were a white pop/rock outfit! Thanks to Tabs for finding this. Thought I'd start a new thread just in case a lot of the sceptics have abandoned the previous thread.
  25. That's the son of the lead singer!!!! That's put a stick in the spoke of all those on here who thought they were a white group!!!!
