Matt Lucas On Quality?
Cheers Adam, did you make it jump on purpose? Sean, I'm not sure who you mean by 'David Walliams' - who he then? Yes it does sound different, but not much, I'd still have to find out my Celebration 45 out to get a better comparison of the two. Funnny though, both 45s show the same timings and credits etc - I find it odd if they are not the same recordings - unless it was a mistake either with the pressing plant or the typing?

Matt Lucas On Quality?
Cheers Adam, it would at least be something to compare the two with I've only got a small sound clip of the Quality 45 but haven't as yet found out my Celebration copy to see if I can tell if there actually is a difference. But the seller does say they are different. Here's the clip if anyone else can tell if it's different or not:

Matt Lucas On Quality?
Has anyone come across this release before? I understand it's not the same recording as the one on US Celebration As you can see the Quality release is Canadian, any further info on this welcome

The Eliminators - Loving Explosion - Brc
I could be wrong, but seem to think the re-issue was on P-Vine in Japan. I know there are CDs on that label not too sure if they even did a vinyl release - anyone know?

The Grooviest Thing This Side Of Heaven - Wendell Watts
Done it this morning - I do have the 45, (just ripped one this morning) Hope it's not too late

Karen - 1537?
Dave Rimmer's site lists both of these also - so maybe they are both legit issues - I don't believe were booted. https://www.soulfulkindamusic.net/karen.htm

The Ronettes "you Baby"
Alan, I'm not aware of it being on a 45 and according to someone who posted this on YouTube: This was suppose to be a single, thats why they are doing it on "Hullabaloo".It was NEVER released as a single, just an LP cut on "The Fabulous Ronettes". Maybe it didn't get a release as a single then?

Album Tracks
Most likely the reason most of us bought this LP isn't it Gary? Other faves from this LP have to be "Loving you gets better with time" (Also the flip side to the 45 of "Frame of mind"), "Changes" & "Give love a try"

Album Tracks
To make it even more confusing - "The Hesitations - push a little bit harder" Did come out on a 45! UK London - it was the flip side to "Born Free" which was also the title track to the LP it featured on. This was mentioned in a recent thread about the LP and other good tracks on it. /Hesitat...-Lp-t86291.html Now back to discussing album tracks eh?

Pinnacle Records
Ian - do you mean something like that 2 Volume CD release which went under the title of "Lonesome Train, The best of Oscar Perry"? Which came out over here in 1999 on Edsel and contained some of his unissued & released things from the Crazy Cajun era I guess you really mean his Peri Tone releases etc.... Sounds good though doesn't it

Al Green...give It Everything ...mp3 Please
Actually "Don't look back" was a CD album Which is why I queried if there actually is a vinyl release of it... are you meaning to say you know there is a vinyl copy?

How Did You All Miss This?
Hi Bob, I don't recognise it either but it's certainly got a Curtis Mayfield / Impressions influence. It sounds quite early 60's to me, which could have some bearing on the 'Batman' title. There's also a touch of Major Lance's "Monkey Time" & The Impressions "Woman's got soul" in there. Not a bad tune really I suppose... I wonder who's actually singing?

Writings On 70ts 45 Card Covers
Heyup Steve, I'm sure I've at least one of his with the artist and title etc. written in that 'long letters' style which looks correct when you read it at an angle - such as from the top view of a record box. But looks kind of long and thin when seen face on - if you get my drift. I'll have a look out and see if I can find one to add to the 'collection'

Al Green...give It Everything ...mp3 Please
... I don't think it is, although I know some of the more recent Al Green albums did get a vinyl release. Can anyone confirm this?

George Smallwood - touching Is My Thing
Nice post I was under the impression that he was one of the Smallwood Brothers who recorded on Atco & Wand etc. But I'm not so sure now... does anyone know for certain?

Jimmy Bo Horne
I'm not sure if it was Cliff himself, but for sure I remember it was someone from the Northampton crowd. I can't remember the price either, but it was most likely somewhere in that region.

Bettye Lavette - tell Me A Lie Album - motown
This is indeed one awesome album! Yes Joe & Jim - It was most certainly released! I have the UK Motown copy. No doubt Mr Hampsey will say his piece on this topic, as it was he who made me aware of it, not all that long after it's release. Tell me a lie Mot 6000 (1982) Right in the middle, Either way we lose, Suspicions, You seen one you seen 'em all, I heard it through the grapevine, Tell me a lie, I like it I like that, Before I even know your name, I can't stop, If I were your woman Fave tracks for me include the title track, "Right in the middle" & "I can't stop" Isn't it funny how these types of recordings never really got the acclaim they deserved when first released?

Al Green...give It Everything ...mp3 Please

The Chargers On Vanguard
If I remember right, "You gotta be a lady" is Len Barry related in some way? Wasn't he one of the writers or something? I'm almost certain I have this on a UK Vanguard 45 (same as Val said)

Jackie Wilson - Because Of You......... Why So Rare?
But in my defence (your honour)... I had seen it mentioned on the odd playlists prior to then and did have the LP - just hadn't gotten around to having a listen to it! No smart comments about having too many records etc. either!

Gil Scott-heron "lady Day & John Coltrane"
Yes they were sold that way, like a lot of Polydor and related labels like Atlantic & Mojo. Don't know the reason behind it though, unless it was to make them more 'juke box friendly'?
