a few photos from alexander o`neil at the party in the park in mansfield and later at hilcote miners welfare. our first visit to this soul club and the numbers were down due to holidays etc. however we recieved a warm welcome and enjoyed the music and the friendly atmosphere. give it a try. woops so sorry it should spell alexander o`neal so sorry .im usually good at speling. -

pete from bentinck top promoter who travels all over the notts and derbys area handing out the flyers and who is also one of the nicest blokes you could hope to meet on the scene. i cant make his event due to work commitments but if he ever put one on a saturday i would be there. its people like pete who keeps the scene going and he really keeps the faith

1972ish went to inky club(near chesterfield)a group of lads in long leather coats and oxford bags took gary glitter and mud off the decks and put on some northern soul wow from that moment on i loved it first record they put on? cut your motor off- black nasty ,classic.
