Fa Cup Semi Final Ticket
I know it's not the right place for this but given the time frame I hope the mods can leave this here to get enough exposure. I have a spare ticket for United v Everton on Sunday 19 April. The ticket is in the United section and is £44 - face value. Any takers? I will send by guaranteed next day delivery tomorrow so that it will arrive on Saturday and trust somebody to send me a cheque by return. Other than that I'll flog on the day but would rather unload it before then,if possible.

Fabulous Peps?- Your Northern Soul Ringtone
Steinways - "You've been leading me on" "I hear my telephone ring....." Put on by my 13 year old son who thought it was an obvious choice because of the opening lyrics.- Your Soulful Week
Pete, I've watched a lot of it when it was shown on FX. Have now decided to watch it from start to finish - 60 episodes on consecutive weekday nights on BBC 2. What I watched previously was really good and a lot of the TV critics think it's one of the best cop/crime dramas to come out of America. It is at times, however difficult to follow, partly because of the dialogue - lots of street slang - and also because of the number of characters in it. I'm hoping that by starting at the beginning I get the hang of it. As it's on at 11.20pm it seems an ideal time for you.- Your Soulful Week
Starting from last night (and for the next 12 weeks) its: Monday - The Wire Tuesday - The Wire Wednesday - The Wire Thursday - The Wire Friday - The Wire Saturday and Sunday - Working out what was being said during the episodes Those who have watched it previously will know what I mean.- Moments On Hog
Is it Toby Jackson? This is the detail that appears in R & B Indies although the book shows the group as "The Movements"- Best Live Acts................eva
Bobby Bland - San Diego 1987 Runner up - Edwin Starr - The Basement Club,Bury 1972 Special mention - Jnr Walker - The Stoneground,Manchester and an all nighter (I can't remember which one) in the same night.- Your Soulful Week
The Pendelum thread has made me think about how the week panned out (back in the day). For me and the other lads from Rochdale/Heywood the week was made up of: Monday - Halifax Tiffanys Tuesday - Burnley Cricket Club Wednesday - The Magnet,Oldham Thursday - The Blue Room,Sale Mecca Friday - The Pendelum Saturday - Blackpool Mecca/Wigan Sunday - Crash!! This happened every week without fail for a good period although we must have varied it to occasionally to fit in the Ukranian Club,Todmorden,The Hop,Burnley,Welcome Arms,Marton,Leeds Central Club and proberly some other local nights long since forgotten. The thing is that you didn't really need a lot of cash to do all of this as most nights during the week were either free or relatively cheap to get in and they were'nt nights spent drinking. When you look back over 35 years or so,the obvious question is "How the f**k did I manage to do all of that week in,week out, without being totally wrecked " These days one all nighter and I'm out of commission for a few weeks Happy days indeed.- The Pendulum
Having had a quick chat with one of the lads that I used to go with, I would associate, amongst others, Christine Cooper - "Heartaches away" and Mr Floods Party - "Compared to what" with the Pendelum. As can by seen by the posts so far, an under-rated venue and one that has real affection for it by those who went.- Finess On Brown Bomber 101 - Any Info On Value?
One through ebay in 2008 for $285.- The Greatest Voice

Should have looked at the membership card posted up - MSG sports and social club - that was it. For some reason as a 16/17 year old the business premises adjacent to the club always amused me - "A B Dick Limited", I think they were printers. Strange the things you remember.- The Pendulum
Fantastic venue. Went every Friday night for a good period (sketchy on the dates). Not a nighter but still a real atmospheric place as it was a (relatively) small cellar type venue. In the summer months the walls were pi**ed through with condensation and from memory they ony sold Newcastle Brown Ale behind the bar. DJ's that I remember were Martyn Ellis, Barry Tasker and Richard Searling. Can't remember Rick Cooper but that doesn't mean he wasn't on when we went, just that I can't remember him. Some awesome stuff was played there but again after 36 years the sound and the venues all merge into one. If I remember rightly it was a sports social club originally. Happy days.- A Few Values Please
