  1. Big thx to all our guest Dj`s and everyone who came along which turned out to be another great day/night Another good turn out,in fact it was packed. Was good to see people get there early. My view and a lot of other peoples is this venue is much better then our old one. Some great sets again, all the dj`s done Filthy proud again,we thought we would give some of the younger guys(Bar 1 ) a go,gotta say the future looks good on the soul scene. These guys play with passion, enjoy themselves without any politics /hang ups etc . Next one is Sunday 26th May.
  2. Sorry there`s no podcast this week, there was a problem with the stream on the night so Zane could`t record and the repeat on Tues was an old show. Bob is on his own again this Sunday ,hear he`s got some goodies to play so hopefully you can have your `ears on` if your not out and about. Next Sunday Both of us are back for a special feat: New York vs Chicago. https://www.starpointradio.com/
  3. I had one go missing in early Jan,i even told seller to hold shipping(won before Xmas, which he did) till after xmas period cos every year i always have 1 parcel going astray. Wanted a 100% hassle free year. Sadly it went missing in the U.s. Got paid out but never knew if seller got the record back or not.
  4. Blimey 8 mins long, you would`t get many records played in an hours set if you took a few more 12"s along to play . Personally i don`t see what all the fuss is about rare on 12" but 7" mix is for me.

  6. I find it hard to believe a label would only press 50,thought min. run was 500?Did the seller mean there`s only 50 mint copies with min. water on label? Mines clean and i`m sure a few others also have this in same nick? Great record

  15. Just myself tonight `live` between 10-midnight. No feature, gonna get into a Filthy Soul mood tonight. Expect plenty of late 60`s,70`s Xover. Also Gonna get funky, forgot to play a brand new 45 from Detroit last week, this is well worth checking out. Will add a few others in the mix. Also some 80`s funky/Soul/Modern and a couple of 2yk releases which you might have missed when they came out. Last 20 mins,down-tempo,deep,sweet with a little few steppers thrown in. Hopefully you can join us after a little coffee shot or something stronger lol. https://www.starpointradio.com/ Sorry there`s no podcasts/Playlists from last 2 weeks..Zane had a few problems recording cos of the stream, all double dutch to me . Hopefully he`s back on track for tonight.
  16. Is there a year when it was first recorded Steve? Now i know you got the Original/original format . Good to know so i can put my copy away when we next get you on at Filthy`s
  17. Thought i`d revive this thread.Just dug my copy out,to be honest bought this 5 years ago and forgot all about it. Great double sider. Any ideas what year it was originally made? Be interesting to see what the price is these days
  18. Think your find Oliver Cheatham sang on that record, great tune.
  19. That`s about right now for 45`s from the U.s.a. I bought off this seller the same record/s,good news it was the old price postage lol.
  20. Sadly i got the cd,long story but from 96-99(Sure this is 1999)i was studying for the knowledge so decided to ask me wife to buy the newer stuff, save me time etc.She used to order everything on cd cos she prefers that . I`m in process of changing formats .
  21. Brett,if you ever wanna slip in some from your own collection ,let me know fella . You know which ones Good luck with the venture.
  22. Great artist and new music made in the old style This is tasty, now an oldie
  23. Personally not my cup of Tea.From a dj`s point of view, the Modern room at Prestatyn is very big so 70`s/80`s rare soul ain`t gonna work, seen many a good record `bomb` or clear the floor unless certain big name dj`s were playing it and at the right times(between midnight-2am). I think this was his best tune: Surely you only play/buy what records you like not what everyone else are after etc
  24. Sadly no podcast for show on 10th March,Zane could`t record it.I`ve asked Gary Lee if he can get recording from Starpoint.I got a `lock in` so extra hour.I don`t see the point putting playlist up yet,i`ll too busy at mo.If anyone who was listening wants any info on tracks played etc,let me know. Bob and myself are back `live ` tonight from 10-midnight. Feature tonight is The Detroit Spinners due to sad loss of Bobbie Smith. Plus usual game plan, don`t think we need to explain it anymore. You know the drill.Got a cracking brand new Funk release, proper tune plus a few other funky/soul 45`s after the good response from week before last. Hopefully you can `lock` on and join us in the chatroom
  25. Back `live` on radio tonight,Bob is having a night off,so you got me tonight between 10-midnight. No feature this week, been digging the crates so got plenty to play from late 60`,70`s,80`s and the odd 90`s/2yk track.Few you know, few you might not. Last 20 mins or so will go Down-tempo,Deep,Sweet with some steppers. Hopefully you can join us in chatroom. https://www.starpointradio.com/
