  1. Even better Dave, just play the original records and bin mp3/down loads where they belong
  2. Charlie Wilson done;trying to make a wrong thing right,80`s stepper,is that the one?
  3. Reason i playlist is to let people who were at venue but have had a little too much to drink or they forgot to come over and look at record for info cos they talking, getting a round in or outside,or they forgot to make a note of info etc.Plus it also lets other people know what the musical policy is at that venue.I don`t make a note of labels cos it`s too time consuming and mainly i not gonna make it easy for other collectors. Plus usually i got a phone call or email,pm asking me for info so i get an idea what records `work`.Another reason why i sometimes don`t say over mike what the track is,just to see the response . I make a note of request so that other guests when they dj at our venue have an idea what is popular(those they do there homework).Or i`ve been requested can you play the red/blue/green label that goes like this..... ..So they know what the track is All i `m gonna say on the o.v.o subject is: if you wanna play boots/re-presses ,that`s fine if you stick to indoors or round mates but not djing out unless you have the balls to advertize it has such. That way people can decide for themselves. Me personally i only play o.v.o.
  4. Good price on this: BA-ROZ - LAST TIME (PISCES) EX £75 Classy 70's mid-tempo and quite a toughie to find Come back boy is nice has well on A-side.
  5. I'm sure that there are many dancers who don't care about bootlegs being played, just as I'm equally sure that there are many people who buy and wear fake watches who don't care about the children working in the third world sweat shops that make them. How many soul night attendees would tollerate their local working men's club selling them fake Vodka and using the excuse " Well it's ok it tastes the same so what's the problem" ?. Not caring does not make it right. For me this puts this debate in a nutshell . Trouble with todays society is everyone wants to get throu the backdoor without putting in hard work, patience and effort. Be it work related or musically.Sadly the rare soul scene is the same abeit only in a minority. Most people i know be it collectors or punters want the real deal(o.v.o). I`ve got no problem if people wanna collect `pressing`, cds or re-issues but play em at home don`t pretend to be a dj.Yes in todays climate money is tight but you can still pick up good records that sound good out for under £50.Just gotta put the effort/time in .
  6. Wife/Daughter out,empty house,bored,computers on,got money to spend on o.v.o ...With your reputation
