I had 6 copies collected over the years...! The average price sold was btwn 250 -300 so 275.00 would be your average....that was before demand crept in...mind you i sold Marshall Donovan for 150 once !

Would be interested to see what some of you make of a track we produced back in the late 90's with Phillip Ramirez...We did a 7 inch mix too which cuts straight to the vocal !!! for the purists of course !!!

I echo, experienced and share those sentiments Peter...I never really made a difference in the age of records more the quality, as time passed by the quality of recordings improved often leaving 60's recording techniques inferior to progress made in studios. First time i heard King Tutt, Roy Dawson, Eddie Parker, Detroit sounds i knew that was where music was going and i was along for the journey...quality vocals, funky riffs, groovin' productions !

Last copy i sold was 1500...probably easier to find the CD Joe !

i believe it was took as part of an NME/Melody Maker article as the same photographer took a picture of me and my girlfriend at the time...she was black i was white..I never got to see the article or picture ? I used to wear white t shirts...Bywell used to wear shorts in the middle of the dancefloor...remember that Dave !!! Time period would be 1980-81..

From memory the white promo was the original mix done by Basement Boys before Sony signed it..It was less polished than the double packs that Jocko describes...but yes some highly desirable mixes on the Double.. HOUSE MUSIC ALL NIGHT LONG !!!

I would concur with the above sentiments...many chancers who will quote popsike or what their mate things is the best price..RARE RECORDS ARE EXACTLY THAT....RARE...However the people who are serious will often buy quickly...and many thanks to those who have bought from me...

Of course none of the younger people are remotely interested in paying silly prices for records when you can download them for free... Collecting rare records is certainly a dying passion...good job most people intend to take their prized possessions to their grave or crematorium !
