  1. i'm suprised
  2. I don't like rules yes this is certainly looking like a great swap.
  3. sneaked on a couple of mid to uptempo tracks in my selection. only managed to work through Mikes so far as it arrived first great selection. Plenty of tracks I didn't previously know. somewhere in the middle was a cracking female track with piano backing. Lightened the mood well after a heavy blues / guitar influenced portion.
  4. I like what Ian did scratching his name in the deadwax. Tempted to do that myself.....
  5. don't stress yourself out John just send us all 4 CDs
  6. all tracklists are printed and 1/2 CDs now burnt. should be posting these out tues or wed next week. looking forward to hearing the selections and discovering some new tracks:thumbsup:.
  7. stuff thats not in ref-o-soul sounds a great idea in theory but in practice I think it would be a nightmare. Time available to compile the CD is the biggest issue i'd have with this suggestion. I don't mind hearing things that are well known mixed in with the lesser known things. It might remind me just how good certain tracks actually are after hearing them again for the first time in a while. just as a test I'll run through the mp3s i've recorded so far and see just how mnay are on ref-o-soul. It might be quite embarrasing
  8. "i can't do enough for you baby" brilliant record.
  9. could it be funky 8 corners by willie and mighty magnificents ?
  10. Mike I assume you saw the want posted for this on the funk forum quite recetly ? sure he was offering 100GBP for a copy...... hope you are keeping well. regards, dylan
  11. ceasers "i've got to know / get yourself together" both sides tough one to find by the ceasers. Tricky rhythm 70s track with harmony vocals vg++ condition plays great. flip side does have a bit of crackle so would grade lower. 100GBP delivered. PM if interested. cheers, dylan
  12. this sounds legit I had to do something like this once a certain amount of cash had come in over a certain amount of time. as part of the same thing you may be asked to link your bank accounht to paypal whic is useful as you would no longer get charged for moving out less than 50 quid. go direct via paypal website not any dodgy lokinng links in e-mails
  13. count me in then rich you have my e-mail
  14. Dylan replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
"who are you gonna love" is a fave of mine I may actually still be listening from a CD compilation though not sure if I have the 45 or not about time I collected a few 45s by this lady.
  15. which town and when is this night ? cheers, dylan
  16. thanks for sending me the mp3 sensational stuff indeed. Just the kind of record I dream about.
  17. well this is the first time i've ever seen this record mentioned...... what tempo and style is it ?? I do love his mico release but never managed to find one. Saw a couple on ebay but too expensive for my taste.
  18. carla bagnerise SOLD black and whie affair SOLD open to offers on rest. cheers, dylan
  19. london is probably too expensive an option for me as it involves needing a hotel etc. I think gareth might have had something to do with that night but I don't think its running now. i'd say there is plenty of southern you can dance to and a few slower sides thrown in would still make it a good night as far as i'm concearned.
  20. lee williams "I love you more" personel favourite of mine.
  21. completely missed that all dayer but the amici bar is all over youtube when bristol city decided to rearrange the furniture a couple of years ago. will try and get to the august one. whats the tim thing ?
