top tip....... carry a pen and piece of paper in your wallet, and get them to write it down. i do it in the car as well if a tune comes up on the radio, i just jot it down or i'd forget it by the time i get home.

I understand what you are saying but do you not think with the upsurge in wanna be dj's with a pocket of cash have contributed to this rise? that coupled with chancer sellers looking to make a quick buck! i'm just glad most of what i want/like aren't in the thousand pound bracket and i'm happy to put the effort in to find them at the right price.

Con,not with all this information at our fingertips, it doesn't take long to find out how much you should have to pay for most things. Are there a lot of chancers out there, definitely. buts thats not new, thats just life! i think we all con ourselves in to believing we need/want certain records at times. as for prices, its the same old story, buy whats you like, at a price your comfortable paying. any more and your just coning yourself. the hike in prices i believe has a lot to do with the "new/latest" vinyl revival we seem to be in, will it last maybe should be the question. till then "i buys what i like, and i likes what i buy"

Currently commanding big bucks on the collectors scene. The single also made it onto Keb Darge's Deep Funk lp. Now Super Disco Edits has dug deep again, and unearthed some killer tracks by the band. Brass Horizon were heavily into the Bay Area sound of the mid 70's and especially Tower of Power. The first recording to come to light from these dusty sessions is this one off studio mic take, introducing the band. Fully 6 mins long, we have trimmed it down so it gets a 45 release. pt1&2."

records like these have been in circulation for forty plus years, why is it any different now. i've got loads i bought when i was still do'n my paper round, and i know i'm not the only one. will i be sent to hell if i ever to decide to sell 'em, or worst still my kids might get wrongly accused because "were always right, and your lieing" it really gets me when folk moan about the artist getting the royalties but only buy old records from dealers, (who i might add probably make more than the artist made in some cases. ) i don't know this guy, who's only crime might may well be naivety, but the fact that he states their copies/reissues should be enough for buyers to make a decision, lets be right its their money. i'm sure i'll upset enough folk for today, not that it meant by the way . but some things aren't as black and white as we'd like to think they are. rant over
