Ok, I'll throw my hat in the ring! I'm with you Andy and Pete here. Lot of the "new" stuff being played nowadays on the Northern scene just doesn't cut the mustard with me.

Prince & Princess - Stick Together (Bell)
Bugger! Sold my M- not so long ago for £30, didn't realise it was in demand mind, only paid £20 for it on ebay some years ago Think it's just one of those records that's relatively inexpensive and not particularly rare but just doesn't come up for sale very often?

Early Skinheads & Soul / Rare Soul 68-72
Pete, round our way, what were referred to as "Prince of Wales check" were usually in black and white, "Prince of Wales" being the pattern. "Ruperts" were similar style checked trousers but a lot more colourful. The check used in them may well have been Prince of Wales. If I recall correctly, the style of Ruperts wasn't baggy, as per the picture posted above, but similar cut to Levi sta-pressed.

That was the first one I thought of. That sixty second spoken intro is just far too long, but what a great record when it kicks in! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td01ER6ujXQ
