Some of his 45 were also sold on ebay by a guy from Glasgow who got them after his death as he was a friend and corresponded with him . His name escapes me at the moment. I was interested in a few uk demos but they mainly had the centre dinked. I seem to remember there being a discussion on here about it at the time.

Had great success using a magnifier and very thin needle and just rubbing it backwards and forwards through the affected area pushing the damaged grooves back into place.

The crazy thing is that every time he sells them to himself he has to pay ebay their sales fee which is 10% . So he is losing money every time he does it.

I have an internet business which has nothing to do with records. We sell only in the UK and lose about 1% of all items sent. I have an account with the post office and when I bring this up with my accounts manager they think that 1% losses is quite acceptable and the norm.

I always thought this was quite common but after reading this thread and doing a search I couldn't find any pictures so here you go.

On the mod and RnB scenes 30 minutes is the standard DJ set with people doing 2 sets, one early and one late. It works well as it usually gets a good mix of sounds. Ive been to too many nights where people play for themselves and dont care if anyboby is dancing as long as its rare and they can show off their collection. Atleast with a 30 min set you dont have to put up with them for too long!
