  1. This is competing with the Contours - Just a Little Misunderstanding compilation for best CD of 2014. If you haven't bought it yet, you definitely should.
  2. I'd be happy to pay for it Pete. Please let me know how. You are absolutely spot on about the bandits flogging recycled stuff you have posted for free. I understand your frustration but hope you know how much people on here appreciate you making stuff available to us. Much as I enjoy your podcasts, the wigan tapes just blow me away every time. Cheers John
  3. Superb article. I remember the original in the mag but it's long gone. Nice presentation!
  4. Thirteen (and seven on Dusty).
  5. Here's the winner for me! Tremendous.
  6. Why on earth would anyone pay money for that?
  7. To be fair, either of those options would improve most songs. I love it as it is. It just makes me want to dance!
  8. Brilliant stuff Pete, this is lovely!
  9. Ooh mysterious intrigue! Thanks Ady, next year doesn't seem like too far away.
  10. Thanks mate. That's a pity; it's on the Who's Blue? Etta Compilation CD which I think I got about a year ago (so Ady must have had access then) but I really, really want it on a 45.
  11. Not true then? Bugger!
  12. The facebook northern soul thing seems to be suggesting this is an impending Kent Select 45. What a tune this is! Can anybody confirm this please?
  13. Personal preference would be for a dedicated instrumental CD with 7's for the best of the bunch, but I guess it's hard to judge what the demand would be and which would generate the best return. I'm happy to get them in any format you can put them out on! The approach you take with Kent (vinyl and subsequently CD) compilations has always worked for me. I have bought the lot and will always do so. I guess you'll need to work out what people whose anorak hoods are less zipped up will buy.
  14. Then you should jolly well stop being blasé about them Mr Croasdell. If you have them, you really should let us at them.
  15. My daughter and her mates from Uni are going to that one, sorry!
  16. This is just awesome. I am struggling to come to terms with the fact that so many of these exist and have been kept so quiet. Surely stuff of this quality deserves a commercial release?
  17. Bloody hell! These are fantastic. Thanks Rob
  18. Don't know about a 7" but I have it on a 1979 12" One side is "LP version" the other is "New version". Cheers John
  19. Soulfinger posted a post in a topic in All About the SOUL
Chapter One. Only on download at the moment.
  20. Not the trick that I think you think you have missed, but have a listen to the Ace Compilation Behind Closed Doors: Where Country Meets Soul and Millie Jackson's On the Soul Country Side. I used to be of the I hate both kinds - Country & Western - inclination, but not any more!
  21. I'm Grateful and Don't Stop Now are in the Motown 7's Box Set Volume 2. Now under thirty five quid on Amazon.
  22. What a complete waste of time and money. I would guess that the Retro Bag Shop failed to pay Mr Brian Poulton the sum of £2000 within seven days.
  23. Thanks. We'll definitely give the Twisted Knee a visit.
  24. They are excellent.
