Well Winnie just lately i have helped out a young friend with his night he asked me to play soul and reggae so i do a warm up spot and it's a free night and the youngsters just want banging fast beats but a few do like the old classics.there would need to be thousands to keep northern alive in the future all i see is a oldies revival scene at the moment. Plus decent real music is not fashionable
