Had Jenny Wilkes from Radio WM on the phone last night asking if I would spend a little time on her Northern Soul & Motown Night tomorrow Fri 4/06/10 to do a tribute to Max. Jenny is an old friend of Max's and loves her soul music and like most of us Max was her hero. Spoke to Kenny Onions but suggested Neil Rushton had some great memories of DJing with Max at the Cats as a young upstart 20 year old so I asked Neil if he 'd like to join me and there was no hesitation from Neil yes Gaz I'd love to. So tune in to 95.6FM from 8.00pm to have a listen to some great old memories from Neil and some recent ones from me including some tracks played at the Cats no doubt. Gaz

Shell shocked a true legend, a friend Mr Soul West Midlands Blue Max, my partner In 'Goodtimes Soul Club' no longer with us I cant believe it I rang the hospital this morning but they wouldn't tell me anything other than he was still very poorly. Then had the terrible news earlier this afternoon from Martin (Kerby) we were all only with the great man last night lost for words. My thoughts go to Linda and family RIP Max the name will live on we will see to that here in the West Mids. Gaz & Carole

Tell us about it have had 2 lost somewhere managed to get pay pal to sort one out at $96 the other is a cheapie anyway so I hang fire on that but its into its 3rd week now fingers crossed it turns up. When communicating with the seller on the other he said yep it had been posted but commented on the postal strikes in the Uk. Like you I've had several others sent no problems within a week from over the pond I'm under the same conclusion as you. Gaz
