Why Do We Dislike Al Wilson's The Snake So Much?
I was always led to believe that the Al Wilson on Wand ("Help Me") was not the same Al Wilson. I still like "Passport" played from the LP in the 70s. Also "50/50" from the same LP. As far as the "The Snake" goes yes I did dance to it back in the day, but wouldn't want to hear it played out. I don't hate it, there are loads records that have been played that are worse.

Afternoon Of The Rhino?
I was thinking Queens Hall was in the summer of 74, May/June not Arpil but it doesn't matter. It was in the late summer of 73 when I `1st heard it, a good few months after the Torch closed.

Afternoon Of The Rhino?
It had already been booted when Queen's Hall was on, had been played for about a year by than. There were lots of LP tracks only played back than circa 73/74.

Afternoon Of The Rhino?
Steve, I am sure that Russ's copy came off Malc. Malc told me he sold him the LP at Wigan Rugby Club (midweek venue before the Casino opened it's doors).

Johnny Baker-Shy Guy
Yeah Ian, Bob was wholesaling this, about 50p or 50c off him. I got and sold 25 copies in the East Lancs Area at £2 a throw' It was popular at most of the mid-week do's at the time. A few months later Andy Riding sent for some and he got the 2nd issue design. (we thought they were boots at the time) I can't remember what Andy did with them sent them back or passed them on? Iam sure people like Neil and John must have got 100s off him back than.

Even if there was a so called war going on, Richard turned up at the Mecca loads of times before going on to DJ at Wigan.

Christine Cooper Are They Serious
I sold Dave Fergie this and Janie Grant issue's for £40 for the pair in early 80s. The east coast demo used to sell them at £8 each, never had a west coast demo, and the issue that Dave got was the only issue that I ever had.
