Concord was the original label for "The Gorilla". Here's an article from Cashbox (August, 1963) -

I know the song has been mentioned a few times and there's already an audio clip but..... does anyone know anything about this clip? It looks more like a video than a television appearance. -

The Concord label was owned by Howard Pittman who was a member of the Doo Wop group the Five Chances. Once the record became a big local hit, he wasn't able to keep up with the demand and sold the master for "...Gorilla" and the group's contract to Cortland.

Your copy doesn't look quite right to me- the font is different. Might be from another pressing plant though ??
