Geoff 1,032 Posted October 2, 2016 My second visit to WoHs new home, the Luna Bar, a really good night. The dance floor is concrete but you'd never know it, it's been sealed and is nice and slidy, talc definitely not required. The policy musically is Northern Soul in its various forms, and with an emphasis on lesser known tunes, or at least has been when I've attended. The three regular DJs, Dave, Richard and Shaun with the guest Jules Pallett played all played varied sets, mixing tempos and keeping the dance floor busy. Tracks played included Where Will You Be Boy; Feminine Ingenuity; Under The Street Lamp; Lucille; I'd Think It Over; There She Goes; My Love Has Gone; Love Don't Come No Stronger, a really great selection. Started off with only a few in but filled up nicely. Thanks to Shaun and Julia for taking me there and back in their cab, very good of them. Walls Of Heartache is a good honest Northern Soul night, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys our music. Link to comment
