Something Differentsaturday Soul 7pm1am

Absolutely brilliant night "up the Staff" for our 1st ever Saturday night soul session,dont know why I worry so much lol..we couldn't have wished for a better turnout than the 1 we were blessed with,as well as our loyal regulars,we had new faces from Rotherham,Barnsley,Worksop,Nottingham and Bolsover all creating a lovely friendly atmosphere,thats 1 thing I am so proud about at our soul club..Starting just before 7pm, straight away top soul sounds were pouring out of the speakers all the way to a tadge after 1am,with the dancefloor being busy most of the 6 hours, again I struggled to get John Jones of the decks,though I was encouraging him to "play another 1"..yet again the staff soulspinners didn't fail to deliver excellent sets,these lads are really putting themselves on the map,not bad to say 4 years ago these lads wer`nt DJs,they work like they`ve been on the scene donkys years,Great work lads!!..Our guest for our 1st Saturday nighter was one of the nicest lads I`ve ever met "Dim"who also got people up on the dancefloor with 2 faultless sets,i`m sure Dim and Vicki will be regular visitors at our club, thanks a lot Dim..With Saturday being a success, we`ve decided to cancel the Sunday sessions{after 3 enjoyable years may I say] and concentrate on our Saturday all-dayers and our Saturday nights,though we`re gunna keep Sunday  February 25th  on because we`ve already done the flyers,keep tabs on here folks and I`ll keep you all posted about the dates..thanks to you all Ross

What a great night at The Staff, superb sets from the lads and our guest dj , Dim . We had a packed room with a busy dance floor throughout the night,even though there were other soul events in the Mansfield area, cant understand why folk pay good money to get into other venues when we've got 6 DJs playing quality rare soul and its all free with cheap beer in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere ! Quite a few new faces who will hopefully come back for our future events , from reaction we got, I'm sure they will...

Vicki and Ihad a superb time at the "Something Different Soul Club" last night, in the company of our good friends Michelle and Eddy Maliszewski.
Terrific sets from the Staff Soul Spinners.. Rob Scott, Krunch, Mark Ecka Hill, Graham Cooper and Johnny Jones....not forgetting the man who makes it all tick, Ross. These guys just get it spot on with a richly diverse range of music.. some of which provided genuinely jaw dropping moments of surprise and real musical buzz.
I was so pleased and proud to be asked along as guest DJ for their first Saturday night event.
The venue is terrific, the crowd...and there were lots of them...are friendly and knowledgeable, not to say passionate about their music, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
If you've not been yet, I'd recommend that you check it out.
