Hi everyone and welcome to the last Banbury Soul Club event of 2019.
BANBURY SOUL CLUB CELEBRATES IT’S 16th ANNIVERSARY.
Saturday 2nd November 2019 - 8pm to 1am.
This is the last Banbury Soul Club event of 2019.
Many thanks to all who have attended and supported the previous events.
Please make sure you come along and enjoy a superb soulful night’s entertainment for only £5.
Helping us at Banbury Soul Club celebrate our 16th Anniversary.
And I’m sure you will all agree that’s no mean achievement.
Anyway, onto the night itself.
As always the emphasis is on quality and enjoyment.
Charlie, Steve, Tom and Dave the resident DJ’s will be playing their own selections of danceable soul music in the main dance hall to guarantee a brilliant night.
And our special guest DJ for the night is Big Al Shaw.
Al is a resident at Goodyear’s Soul nights at Wolverhampton and is a regular attendee at soul nights and nighters across the country.
Expect to hear sounds from the last 50 years covering all genres, tempos and styles.
For those that don’t already know we have a second alternative room, “No Boundaries”.
“No Boundaries” does exactly what it says on the tin.
The DJ’s have no restrictions on what they decide to play.
The exception is there will be NO Northern or Motown.
Nick “Topsey” Turvey will be curating this alternative room.
Nick has complete freedom to play exactly what he wants and invite any guest DJ’s who will enhance that room.
It will feature modern, crossover, low rider, soulful house and jazz funk. Basically if it is soulful it will be played.
So if you prefer those genres of soul this is the room for you.
So expect a smorgasbord of quality soul across all genres.
I’m sure you will agree this is going to be a brilliant night of soul music in both rooms, with something to satisfy all soul lovers.
In summary this will genuinely be a “something for everyone” evening.
So make sure you come along and enjoy a superb soulful night’s entertainment for only £5.
Two rooms of soul, 10 hours of music for only £5 has to be a bargain.
Anyway we all hope to see you all on Saturday 2nd November 2019 - 8pm to 1am.
For those who have not been to the venue before the Banbury United Clubhouse has recently been refurbished, along with the free car park immediately outside the clubhouse.
With a raised stage, main wooden dancefloor and with seating and tables on both sides.
Another plus is its all on ground floor level with no stairs to contend with.
Hopefully this will give you an idea of the layout and how it’s ideally suited for a night of soul music.
Some people were still having difficulties finding The Banbury United Clubhouse location.
Unfortunately SatNavs will only get you part of the way.
The only access to the club is by way of the Station Approach road.
After turning into Station Approach the main railway station, train drop off point and taxi rank is immediately on the left.
You need to take the narrow roadway on the extreme right to find the Clubhouse and follow this road all the way to the ground.
The clubhouse is approx. 0.5 miles down this road.
Turn right into the Clubhouse car park which is well lit.
If you do get lost the taxi drivers are usually very helpful and will point you in the right direction.
So please join us and help us celebrate a milestone 16th anniversary.
Looking forward to seeing you all in 2020.
Pay on the door is still only £5.00.
