Scotters 981 Posted February 14, 2016 Only a couple weeks and looking forward to the first of these nights for this year...where classic northern meets with the occasional something / someone a bit different , cheap drinks all upstairs dancing from the off on great bouncy wooden floor (but with solid sound system!). Great No 'occasional something / someone a bit different' this night mate - We have discussed in depth, and 'The boss' has cleared me to do that for my full spot - The people who attend this night are open to this kinda thing, all of us enjoying the classics together along with equally enjoying tunes that they may not have heard before. This is what makes this event unique - 'Inclusive not exclusive' Len 2 Link to comment

Jem Britttin 87 Posted February 21, 2016 Few people have asked the question. The venue has a fantastic 'sprung' wooden dance floor, you shouldn't need much talc but your more than welcome to bring some if you wish... atb Jem Link to comment
Jem Britttin 87 Posted February 29, 2016 We would just like to say thank you! to all that came to Soul in the Attic on Saturday 27th February 'a sell out capacity crowd' Beve & Julia closed the door early so apologies to any that couldn't get in later, always best to reserve in advance if you can. A great mix of 'Real' Northern Soul from right across the era's from Len Dopson's 'Embankment' days to some forgotten oldies from Brian Bates with plenty of tried and trusted 'classics' inbetween thanks Andy Horne, Dave Vanner, Steve Scotney & Julia Hill for all your efforts it's much appreciated. Let's share the love again! in April. if you can't wait that long then don't forget to join us at The Welcome Inn this coming Saturday 5th March for Welcome to Northern Soul ktf Jem Brittin 2 Link to comment
Len 4,304 Posted February 29, 2016 'twas a great night. I rarely enjoy myself at your events Jem (Unless you're not there), but suffice to say, I really did enjoy 'The Attic' Sat night (Despite your presence) In hindsight, I think I 'over egged the pudding' somewhat over the mike, hitting home that this is a place where we cover (and respect) all era's of the scene, along with the fact that everyone has their own personal history. As I was doing so, Sally came up and said........"Len, no one's listening"....... Do you know what? She was right - it then dawned on me that most people that attend 'The Attic' get what it's about, and are already cracking on with giving new tunes from different eras the chance they should be given See you all back at 'The Attic' in April. All the best, Len 'Candace Love - Wonderful Night' 3 Link to comment
