Well into another new year and still a great venue and the place to be with a great line up of dj,s this month. So make a date in your diary Cotgrave DBSC the friendliest venue around with no politics the only thing we say no to is by a clause in our insurance NO TALC or DANCEDUST we take out public liability insurance to protect all that attend our venue so this is why we have had to do as the policy states and if anyone uses talc etc and there is any injuries or accidents there will not be any claim against the welfare or the club as we can not be held liable so to protect you and everyone else you safety and enjoyment is our priority so please no talc

Ive been lookin thro some old soul mags i would like to quote the late great Derek Allen,  " Some venues are under threat of closure , and soul fans are doing themselves no favors , for one of the most stupid of reasons. Excessive use of talcum powder on the dance floor. From a personal point of view i remember in the sixties , that a small amount was beneficial but the amounts used today is ridiculous. It seems to stray from the dance floor to seats , tables and drinks and i often arrive back home looking like a snowman . Why not try and use it conservatively because is it worth closing a venue down for such a silly reason? Some promoters are being charged extra to clear it up which can only lead to higher chargers of admission  " Togetherness mag winter 2000 . Nowt changes have a good un.
