Culcheth You've been warned this could end up a mini nighter. (If he's had a drink) LOL

Take your pick I sold my Ralph Graham LP a few weeks ago. normally it takes quite a few months before I start regretting my decision but it's just started early this time. Thanks Baz for that.

Micksmix Members July 26, 20222 yr Perfect Philly Soul and the intro very reminiscent of Elipsis "people" Just right for the modern room!!
Jessie Pinkman Members July 27, 20222 yr Here's one for the main room early doors crowd, a fantastic piece of cross over magic from Bobby Shannon. A massive spin for Richard Searling many years ago and still sounds the business. Bobby Patterson's original album track is great but this just edges it for me.
Bazm Members July 27, 20222 yr Some records defy labels, Northern, Modern, Crossover, this does 'em all Here's one from Carl and Maria, that gets my vote
Bazm Members July 27, 20222 yr True Image... Barbara Lynn... Alfie Davidson... Then maybe this?...BOOM!
Micksmix Members July 28, 20222 yr Parkers memories and this beauty could tear up the dance floor in either room WHOOOSH!!

Pretty rare on original, I've just noticed on Discogs that Flanny has one for sale £199.00. I had to wait for the Expansion release when Richard was playing at Parkers. Virtually impossible to find then. slightly easier nowadays with discogs & ebay. Great call Mick I haven't heard it played out in years. Top tune.

Micksmix Members July 28, 20222 yr Another one for either room, now a few copies have turned up in the North West 😉

I'd have a step ladder looking through them.
Eddiefoster Members July 28, 20222 yr One I've been enjoying sneaking onto the decks recently - just shows they don't have to be a million dollars to hit the spot 👌
Eddiefoster Members July 28, 20222 yr Staple food for Robbo and has been for 2 decades but sounds soooo good everytime regardless, taste and then some 💪👍

Jessie Pinkman Members July 30, 20222 yr Popular Comment Chris Morgan take a bow son, take a bow for this 1969 soul masterpiece, First played by Guy at Stafford and now a regular play at Culcheth, how long before it becomes a WW or KW. It's a perfect dancer and surely has to be up there with the best ever played on the scene

I gave it a bit of a kick/revival some years ago on the nighter circuit after it had been ignored for years.

Does sticking it on the turntable make me sound slightly ancient. Baz would call them the wheels of steel or something similar. Great record though by Sir Joe Quarterman "A guy for you" I got this before it came out anywhere, got it played at Lifeline etc by Andy and Calvin Lee Hughes. Magic record.
