After a decent night last month we are all revved up for a brilliant Xmas dance. 

With Carl Piper and Doug Hall it's going to be a stormer. See you all there.

Given the amount of low quality and off topic images and unrelated videos posted in the last 24 hours, some members have now been given sites warning to ensure that they are aware such actions are not welcome and any repeat will lead to further action on their accounts

ok this even thas just hit the 'too much hassle' point

after the bulk posting of generic images and videos by the same members we then had to deal with dodgy accounts

two accounts who solely post on this event have been  closed as per terms of use

we just had a new account show up out of the blue and their first act was to post up a youtube video of the snake

this account was closed as per terms of use 

as said this event is becoming just too much hassle moderation wise

generic low quality comments/images/videos in bulk posted repeatedly to promote this event are not wanted or welcome

it does seem that there is a deliberate attempt to flood our event guide comments

after removing many off topic videos and images, checking and then closing accounts, we no longer have the moderation time and effort available to offer comments on this event

as such comments are now closed on this event

My thoughts on this as a regular goer to this event.. 

how do you know it’s not malicious? 
ie. An attempt by other nearby soul events to sabotage?

The system reported that accounts in question may be connected to existing accounts

This weekend there are 100+ events in our guide

The amount of moderation time and  effort that has been spent on this one events comments is unsustainable

Warnings were given, but as they appeared to have had no effect, the comments are now closed
