As per request here's another Sunday picture quiz. Just a bit of fun so feel free to join in - no shame in having a punt.

As usual our mystery person is a non-soul related artist who has had at least one tune played on the Northern Soul scene. I'll take questions to which I can answer 'yes' or 'no' - and will provide extra clues if we're really struggling.

Here we go then. This guy had a couple of substantial hits that he's better known for than the any Northern connected material

Anyone having trouble editing posts? No idea what all those break marks are and I can't change font or add smileys. Anyway - yes Chris, American.

Nope - did sometimes sound like Elvis I gather. Not obvious on his hits though and certainly not on any relevant to this site

I believe he is Chris. Can't be still performing though as it's hard to find pics of him despite the hits.

A little less 'teen' than Bobby Vee, Sandi, but good guess.

You're all thinking along pretty much the right lines though. With the exception of my old pal Webby, naturally...

He looks a bit like Frankie Avalon.

Then again, didn't they all?

We need more clues.

Not sure but he did work in our chip shop

errrrrrrr Charlie Rich...

Hoagy Lands

How about Dion of Dion and the Belmonts his surname ...not sure how it's spelt but will crudely attempt it Demucha.

Who's that then??

ok recap. Here he is again

Rock and Roll singer with some doo wop influence on the hits. Two pretty big hits in his time and pretty much zilch afterwards. He did pop into the studio to cut a storming Northern Soul tune however.

Here's a couple of clues:

1. You may know his hits by someone else.

2. There's an artist with the same name who had a somewhat unusual Northern record - but they're different people.
