Posted April 23, 201015 yr I know there are a few different groups out there called The Chancellors, but this particular group comes from right here in my home town of Lincoln, Nebraska. They released just these two 45's around 1969/70. I've seen both of these on a couple sales lists here and there, but aside from that haven't heard of much interest in them.. they were a white group, and some of the members were also involved with The Fabulous Flippers of Lawrence, Kansas.. do these records get much play in the UK? most of the soul collectors around here seem to frown on blue eyed stuff, but i've always had a fondness for alot of it.. just wondering if they're popular over there? regards, Jacob

I really do like this kind of sound, no matter how many times I listen it always sounds fresh & uplifting imo. Is the output with the Fabulous Flippers anything like the Chancellors? Steve J
April 23, 201015 yr got both of the above tracks -the el cid track was actually spun at the casino -both are quite high in the book also-i love the tracks but i really cant say if the 2 above sounds sound like "all the way from heaven"to me that track sounds alot more soulful and i always had them down as a different outfit? April 23, 201015 yr I'm probably being a nut case here but look in your local phone directory for any of the members, K.Goins is a name I can see on both 45's, or is it like looking for a needle in a haystack? I don't know how big Lincoln is? Can someone post up a sound sample of either 45? Edited April 23, 201015 yr by Soul-Slider
