I sold a mint issue of this for £70 and a VG+ demo for £30 less than 2 weeks ago. Where does he get £999 from?

HE NORMALLY HAS SOME NICE MOD/PSYCH ITEMS UP FOR SALE AND THEY NORMALLY ACHIEVE DECENT PRICES, THINK HE'S JUST MADE AN ERROR IN HIS LISTINGS WITH THE LAST TWO OR THREE HE'S PUT UP.

The insertion fees in the media section on ebay.co.uk is £0.10 regardless of what amount you start the auction at.

Are you sure, I get varying charges depending on the starting amount.

That's strange. :hatsoff2:

Check this page under Insertion Fees > Media:

https://pages.ebay.co.../sell/fees.html

Also, the final value fee is always 9% of the closing amount (but never more than £40, i.e. if you sell a record for £2000 the fee is still only £40 despite that 9% out of £2000 actually would be £180).

The above goes for the co.uk site.

Listings on .com is different. The basic insertion fee is never more than $0.25-$2.00 though (if you don't list in two categories, have a subtitle etc.). The final value fee is always 9% of the closing amount (but never more than $50).
