July 28, 200519 yr I can see why it was played - fast urgent and messy but it just doesnt sound right for todays dancefloors. It belongs to another era. Maybe thats why its never played out any more....... derek

A real snappy beater that'll get your pulse going. Might drop it on early doors - agree it might be too fast for todays middle aged spreads, but plenty of handclapping snaps etc...

Cheers Jock link Ace choon 'tis a little fast but that's no excuse for not giving it an airing now and again When Russ played it seem to remember it was c/u with a bullseye a few other choons he used to play around this record was Pallbearers, Linda Elliot, Posse, and cant remember group but it was that nice clip cloppy one on ABC I love the boy who lives next door I used to enjoy Russ's spots nice easy going entertaining good preparation for the serious stuff to come from Dicky boy Aways loved the weird echo effect on Jay Traynor (Happy Days) DJ

As those who know me would tell you, I've got a progressive attitude - more Modern in main rooms etc, less R&B, fed up with DJs churning over the same tunes over and over, blah blah blah...... Just a few reasons why I can no longer be arsed to drive for hours on end. That's also why I wish more DJs would be enterprising enough to dig into those forgotten oldies like this one and one which actually has a some oomph and power about it. Pleased to see so many punters seem to agree. Promoters and DJs take note. Mid tempo, beat ballads, R&B etc are all very well but it's still called "Northern Soul" and there are dancers out there who aren't yet using zimmer frames! Though they might have to after dancing to Dee Dee!
