Posted August 8, 200519 yr good to see col and co back on the case if amything like prev nites it should be a good one
August 8, 200519 yr No shite R&B? Partial to a bit o'shite meself... Can you put on the next flyer no wanky discofied Modern, or no tossy banging House parading as Soul. I might give it a go then.
August 9, 200519 yr They'll be playing good R&B then I guess. Or will they not be playing anything that was recorded with the intention of getting into the R&B charts stateside? I think this do will probably be right up my street in the main judging by the DJs but pidgeon holing records and then denegrating them like this does little for the scene. As Roger Banks often says "When is an R&B record not an R&B record? - When its a Stafford record" nuff said for me.
August 10, 200519 yr if amything like prev nites it should be a good one Would that be like the Camel Club then Get a grip mate

August 11, 200519 yr ... but pidgeon holing records and then denegrating them like this does little for the scene.... link here, here Ged, personally i dont like to hear shite northern danny d
August 12, 200519 yr I was asked about that comment on the flyer last week at the Steam nighter in Crewe "What does that mean, you won't be playing R&B?", "No" was my reply "only good soulful R&B" Might be better calling it R&S (Rhythm & Soul) rather than R&B but we thought it only fair to put on the flyer exactly what you can expect to hear, howver, it is up to our guest DJs what they play. How many times though have you been to night advertised on the flyers as one thing then when you've got there have you been disappointed with what was actually played. Why not come along and see for yerselves. Colin. PS Yes, same idea as the Camel Club and Rider Club, good seldom heard music. Edited August 12, 200519 yr by rider
