Can anyone tell me if Harvey Scales - Trying to survive - Magic Touch is being played anywhere.

Whats the current value and how rare if at all is it?

Cheers, Lee

Oh and it's a tuff one, dunno how tough but it went for $3000+ last year

it was regular 45 in my sets between 2007 and 2010. Sold it for sth. like 500 UKP earlier last year. would agree with Chalk though. Definitely the hardest on the whole label..

Wow that's gone up a bit, but always thought this had something about it, had a few spins at Soul essence quite a few years back now by Steve G and Andy Etheridge i think, i have added a refosoul clip i added of this about 3 years ago.

Yes that is correct, we both dabbled with it a few years back, and I've been playing it at northern gigs as well.

Also I think DtheD has also been spinning it. Steve

Played at Boomerang Soul by Dave Ripolles not so long ago. Great Track

Yeah, I've spun it in every set i've played since I had Marc's copy. I actually thought I'd paid over the top for it at the time but I'd been desperate for it since George Mahood played it to me probably 12 months before. I reckon it will be a monster if more copies come out of the woodwork because it just has the lot; great social concious lyrics, fantastic vocal and a funky edged, choppy guitar lead backing that just builds and builds!

Just re read that and it sounds like I was unhappy with the deal with Marc, or that I thought he'd stitched me up in some way.....far from it in fact, as I asked him if he wanted to sell , and then offered him the price.....afterwards of course I thought I maybe should have offered less (like you always do) , but was so desperate for it.... Just wanted to clarify that, and in any case, with George , Andy and Steve playing it , it may well yet turn out to have been a bargain.....

For what it's worth, I think a portion of the issue is that the Funk crowd has, to my knowledge, only recently picked up on the record (despite how long others have been aware of it).
