Mike
Well I didnt realise just how much hype of this was going around in some worlds untill tuned into jazz fm last weekend. Seems like every other event featured in the "club" guide had words "wigan" and "30" Another case of "milk milk milk" or perhaps a genuine celebration ??? Whats the view of you soul source types out there? Link to comment Social source share
Nickg
Milk, milk, milk, I'm afraid, £20 on the door at the forthcoming Togetherness extravaganza ! or £15 if you book on-line, wonder how much they charge booking fee ? Link to comment Social source share
grant
i am all for celebrating anniversaries & if any venue deserves it then it has to be WCSC. But will the events just feature wigan plays, or will the new breed of soul, n. soul whatever be getting plays? keep it simple dj's - just play the stuff that we all know and love from the casino days to give it that tue station rd feeling - keep the 'post-wigan' stuff in your boxes for another nite. i do agree that there will be a 'milk, milk' scenario going on and door prices that are somewhat ott. To keep it really authentic - why not charge wigan 77 door prices !!!(joke) Link to comment Social source share
Guest
Well..it's monday , 2 days after Stoke so with a clear head we can reflect on the allnighter better. Lorraine Silver or Dean Parish,(no comparison really) Dean was mentioned on the tickets NOT Lorraine Silver. Come on guys where was he? Personally I think there was far too many people in the building, I don't know what the capacity is but you could hardly move on the dance floor, it was supposed to be ticket only but people WERE paying on the door. Regarding the "Mr M's Room" Kev Roberts announced in the early hours of Sunday morning that the room was closed due to a wedding reception. Well the people who were having the wedding must have had to book several months in advance so the Cartel (Mr Roberts and Co) MUST have known about this (no excuse there), the said reception would have finished probably no later than 1am, so why could they not get it cleaned up, and throw a set of decks in and of we go. Also where were Pat Brady and Dave Evison? I think a good night was had by all, but I feel I had to make a point and reply to this thread. Link to comment Social source share
