Cleethorpes Soul Sessions

This was the third Cleethorpes Soul Sessions event and musically wer'e gettin into our groove now.

Its a privilege to have openminded resident DJ,s of this calibre, willing to play not just outside the box but the full field!

Big thanks to DJ Richard Dixon an old friend from our days up the Winter Gardens who stood in for Keith Bickley and played an eclectic set consisting of many 90s tunes.

The night itself started slowly and built up to a great atmosphere with the range at taste of each DJ creating a potent mix of quality vibes which ensnares the reveller.

Music policy this night and every night is quality danceable music from the 70,s 80,s 90,s to present, nothing rare, nothing for chin scratchers, just the dancers in mind. Its about getting in touch with your own soul, Feel The Spirit, the spirit within!

Next event Easter Good Friday 22nd April.

Knowing you was due to be there, I left my money at home thinking the beer would be on you as I have not seen you for some time !. Great to see Rick Todd again. I was made redundant by an Haulage firm in Stallingborough earlier in the day, and did not feel over social, but seeing Rick there and knowing he has not been too well of late, put things in perspective and cheered me up, as did the music which reminded me at times of being at Bobby's Bar and similar Med holiday venues in the 80/90's. That is a compliment to Payo, Dicko Jo etc,, and as well as being a change from the usual Northern/ Motown nights which I love, the policy suited the venue. Never heard Patrice Rushen's version of Kirk Franklin's- Looking For You before Friday which was a bonus as well.

Not sure about Good Friday Keith, but I hope the success continues especially for Payo and Kim who deserve it and those who support the venue. Should be great in summer when the chippies are open later.

Steve ( Or Jack as you lot from Grimsby know me by, but my missus hates it ).
